“Many of you are too young to remember, but in 1975 our government pushed “the coming ice age.”...”

I remember it, vividly. I also remember the dozens of cheap paperbacks that came out around that time (not too mention the TV movies, etc.) all because we got some nasty blizzards and snowfalls in the mid-1970’s. I got the feeling at that time that the entire “Global Cooling” campaign was a marketing ploy just to sell more books
(magazines and of course, advertising).

I remember very well. I was an engineer on a nuclear submarine so I was well educated by then and laughed at Hollywood and liberals craziness. It never ended.

Stings wife went on a rant about the Amazon, all of the left were in the same position now on global warming.

This would be funny if not for the billions taken and spent on this stuff and the laws at city, state and policies at the Federal level that have burden us.

During the late 70s, there was a science show on PBS called “Connections”. We really enjoyed it, and last year, found that Netflix had the series on DVD. We got it to show to our kids, and lo and behold, in one of the episodes, the host mentions that we were in a period of cooling (remember this was made in the late 70s), and that scientists were in general agreement that sunspot data helped determine whether the cooling would continue.
