God Bless those enterprising, digging Japanese journalists and their film crews.
A hot one in North Korean black weapons smuggling case was captured for all of Japan to see last night at the 11 p.m. TV news on NNN Network.
The pushy and curious Japanese journalists and cameramen with their long lenses (and fluent Farsi and Korean speaking investing staff in Tokyo), discovered some VERY interesting things about the North Korean aircraft stopped this week in Thailand with Ukranian crew flying weapons in violation of US sanctions. The flight crew has been very tight lipped, but the Japanese journalists nevertheless caught some things that were most interesting.

Not to mention that on 8 December, had Stephen Bosworth and Sung Kim from State Dept. not only touched down at Sunan Airport outside Pyongyang and begun their appeasement mission hand-carrying the love letter to the Chia Pet from Zero, the 조선인민군 공군 ordered one of their aircraft (MiG-21?) to broach the NLL line in the West Sea, causing a serious scrambling of of SIX R.O.K. fighter aircraft to the area, and forcing the lone DPRK intruder to flee back north into DPRK terrority and back to its base. This was seen as a direct, bold and most rude diplomatic fart right smack in the face of the US delegation to test them and assert DPRK power, to see if the US blink, or would do or say anything, or if Obozo would get the Hershey Squirts. And of course they DID NOT do anything about it, and this was not even reported in the US media. State Dept. is trying to cover up all the DPRK shenanigans lately, because they dont want regime change or liberation in the North, they dont even necessarily want disarmament of the nuclear program, all they want is their frikking parchment paper agreement which will look good as a career accomplishment for them, regardless of how many millions of people their foolishness jeopardizes.

Yes, another legacy crap. They want any deal which they can take credit for. A deal which looks good, but with no substance or with adverse effect. Chia Head knows it all along, too.

God Bless those enterprising, digging Japanese journalists and their film crews. Our "journalists" wouldn't cover this type of story unless a conservative was piloting the aircraft... The Japanese are lucky they don't have New York Times type journalists...

However, the Japanese TV crew was at it again, they got a close look at the Bill of Lading with the destination, filmed it, and reaired it. It was clearly handrwitten in English on the sheet "MEHRABAD AIRPORT" (Teheran),فرودگاه مهرآباد (IATA Code: THR) is an airport that serves Teheran, Iran.
This airport is close to the city center of Teheran and is not used widely for commercial international arrivals and departures, and is also shared by the Iranian military.

“or at least to attack Israel.”
There were AWAC killers on board. More likely to foil an Israeli or US attack.

What a weak cover story. Why would the Ukraine be wanting to buy North Korean Weapons? I’m sure the Chinese would sell them anything the Russians would not. So would others. Or for this kind of stuff, they probably make their own.

It seems by and large the Ukranians and Khazaks flying the bird had a different arrangement Anyone get the tail number of the aircraft? It might be one of the same ones who have hauled cargos for the US military. I've seen one of those, in the Ukranian livery, on the ramp at Gray Army Airfield, Ft. Hood. when I flying into the Killeen airport, which uses the same runways.

For my two bahts worth....I think the Thai authorities should threaten that entire crew with the death penalty, which in fact is the ultimate punishment for what they did and is legal by Thai law and they could in fact get it; it is no more different than drugs coming into the country.
However, those aging FSU-bloc chaps are not going to be suicidal like North Korean agents, but would sing like Eastern European canaries. Then give them each maybe one year or so in the Thai slammer, and they will never do it again I am sure, and we will get a pretty nice treasure trove of intel on the Norkies regarding these black ops flights around Asia.

Or it may have been a deliberate “set up” to catch the Norkies redhanded doing something bad and embarrass them and/or find out what kind of stuff they are shippping out despite UN sanctions. That is remote, but possible. I would expect that in previous administrations perhaps, but not out of Obama.

Yes, you are right. I failed to credit Obama the necessary guile.
