Dems Offer Nelson up to $500 Billion, er Million in Earmarks to Vote Yes

The White House and Democratic Leadership in the Senate has told Senator Nelson they will close every military base in Nebraska — a threat that is not credible, really — but they have also offered Senator Nelson between $300 million to $500 million in earmarks, according to key hill health care operatives. These hundreds of millions will be available for whatever he wants to spend them on in Nebraska.

Given Senator Nelson’s hard core earmarking history as an appropriator, the word on the street is that this is the real carrot that could get Nelson to agree to some cover amendment that would allege to protect the innocent unborn from government funding of abortion, but, in fact, would not.

Disguisting. Sell your country down the river for a couple of hundred million dollars of pork. I am thinking of the scene from 300 when Queen Gorgo stabs Theron and the Persian gold coins fall to the floor and the Spartan Assembly start crying out "TRAITOR!".

I noticed a couple of days ago that Ben Nelson (along with Bob Casey) voted in favor of taxpayer funding of abortion in Washington, D.C. (90% African-American)

So much for their bogus 'pro-life' claims. I expect them to vote in favor of this pro-abortion bill as well.

Senator Landrieu whores herself for $300 million.

When will the other 56 Democrat Whores demand their $500 million to vote yes on ObamaCare?

I mean, if you are Dorgan ND or Bill Nelson FL or Blanche Lincoln AR, why should you not also want $500 million.

Then after Obama pays off a half dozen or so whores, then the others will demand $500 million for services rendered.

Sounds like a dandy opportunity to create some mischef by recruiting Nelson over to the GOP with promises to secure both.

What makes you think that the (R) is any different? The GOP is loving this. The dems are taking all the heat for passing bills the GOP also wants but they get to play the roll of the ‘resistance’. Truth is everyone of these politicians wants anything that will provide more tax money for them to slosh around with the appropriate cut ending up in their own pockets as well as more power and control over the unwashed masses.

Americans were shocked by the amount TARP costed (just under $800 billion).

Now they are apparently offering the whores from Louisiana and Nebraska amounts equal to TARP as the price of their votes on this one bill.

Will the Chinese loan money for that, or will Bernanke have to create it out of thin air at the Fed?

I heard that, also. This is infuriating, these amounts of money and important decisions being used as threats and bribes for one senator's vote on one bill. If we had decent laws governing the behavior of elected officials, all involved would spend the rest of their lives in jail.
