Luv your photo. Iron sky above the Lake Erie is great background for this pix.

Goodness Sand, you all stay safe!

Your winter storm is supposed to land here late Thursday, with a possibility of snow. Woke up last Friday morning to snow here. WOW!

floowed=followed, filler=killer

Sorry about the misspelled words, your post reminded me of how few these days have any idea of what Pearl Harbor went through. "Are there any bodies down there?".

So many think it is such a paradise, it can be extremely hot and sweaty if you are working, like the crews that worked around the clock after the attack.

Came across some links on FR that showed the heroic salvage work being done on the battleships after the sneak attack, and the damage as seen once in drydock.

If it was me, looking at that, I'd be overcome with despair. Those guys were iron back then.

Yeah, a somewhat gloomy day for here, drizzle and such. Seemed to fit the extremely slow passage of the Lake Erie and the sailors standing at the rail.

(Not supposed to take photos, but everyone else was)

Silence speaks volumes.

I hope someone makes a movie about Pearl Harbor again -- and does it and this warrior justice this time. Something closer to "Midway" in terms of approach and understanding the historical material maybe...
