The boyfriend is also innocent.

The girl was murdered by a guy named Rudy Guede, a drifter. Amanda Knox and her boyfriend didn’t know this guy. In fact Guede’s DNA was found at the scene.

In other words, she was killed by a stranger, a drifter.

Is that your belief, or do you have evidence?

We’ll never know what really happened to Kercher. Unless you were in the room with her, you don’t know for sure either.

When I think of perugia, I think of Baci candy....mmmm

I think she's innocent as well, have been reading about it....should have been a mistrial because of the prosecutor

The trial has been going on since January I think. Knox fist accused a completely innocent man of the crime. She lied to the police several times. Currently, another man, Rudy Guede, has also been convicted of the same crime.

Knox’s DNA was on the knife. There’s several articles you can read about the history of the case if you’re interested and I see that the news shows are doing their versions of it tonight.

I agree with jury’s verdict. I heard it reported that in long trials, the verdict usually goes is favor of the defendant. Not this time.

So since I wasn’t in the room, I can’t form a logical opinion?

THE JURY WASN'T IN THE ROOM EITHER, EINSTEIN.

Insults aren’t helpful.

You made my point for me. What you’re stating is your opinion, yet you’re stating it as absolute fact. If I may loosely quote an earlier post of yours, you said “if you don’t know the facts STFU.”

Well, you just said that you don’t know them either. Believing something to be true doesn’t make it so.

In Germany, does the judge or a judicial team decide guilt or innocence?
Guten tag ...

nicely said, onyx, and i agree with you. the people in that room heard the evidence and witnessed the demeanor of those testifying etc. they had all the benefits of hearing it first hand. they found her guilty and i think they reached the correct verdict. the burdens of proof etc are different in Italy and it’s irrelevant to try to superimpose OUR system of justice on this situation, as our law does not apply.

I visited Rome for a week last Thanksgiving, visiting my daughter who was doing her semester abroad there. I highly recommend it. it is awe-inspiring to see the antiquity of the place. just random ruins interspersed around the city next to modern things.

Else you go the Sinope prison - still has iron maidens in use... have a B&W picture of the prison - looks like run down old stone fort next to the bay - good for disposing of the daily corpses.

You’re very lucky. I’d have to win the lottery to go!

Really, I think the small towns and villages would be what I’d like to see the most. But also the islands in the Med sea - I see the pics of these rocky islands sticking up with houses built right up to the edge of these huge cliffs. The narrow streets, the small shops, the FOOD!!!!!

Did I mention the FOOD!!!!!??

I grew up in upstate NY, in the Finger Lake region, and there are tons of people there of Italian descent. You can go into these small, hole in the wall restaurants, with garlic hanging in braids, and eat better than you ever ate in your life!

100 witnesses, over 200 pieces of evidence. She’s guilty.

Hi xs!!!!

I’m just now reading through the thread and just saw that your daughter was in Rome and that you also followed the case. Your opinion comes with a lot more knowledge of law than mine, so I am gladdened that you agreed with the jury too.

Depends on the crime. In such capital crime cases its between 1 and 3 judges (all professionals) I think.
