First of all my apologies for being so late to post the monthly Sanity Island. I got started late and and that put me behind
Its almost 11 month since President Bush has left office. There goes no day by that I wished he were still in the White House. No matter though he is still my President and will always be as long as I live.
Today I will post photos from December 2001 and 2002, and tomorrow from 2003 and 2004
For the quote of the day I have chosen the address President Bush gave to the Marines at Camp Pendelton on December 4, 2004. I will only post the first two paragraphs and will post the link to the entire address
Thank you, DrDeb....
I think it would be safe to say we BOTH had a wonderful day!
Thank you. Prayers are very welcome and needed.
It is always SO good to see you pop up here and there. ;)
Hope you and yours are well!
So good for your mom to spend this first Christmas with her Savior, but so impossibly hard and painful for you.
You will be in my prayers.
Congrats to the whole family!
Oooooo........a new book by Laura from her heart?? I hope she gets “personal!” ;)
The White House Christmas photos had always been posted on the Daily Dose
I was talking about the WH archive site.
And I linked to the holiday page because it has the various statements by the Bushes and video etc.
Everyone is free to ignore it, I was just trying to be nice.
Miss Bush’s leadership. Fine couple brought adults back into the white house. Country was safer...stronger...free-er....miss my country...
Got a note from snugs to let you all know that her dad is coming home from the hospital. I don’t have a ping list, so if you need to spread the word, feel free.
She said that they would have a delayed Christmas dinner. I know he’ll be glad to be home!
Oh 4integrity....I am so very sorry. I didn’t see your post until now, as I was just responding to my pings. My FRiend, I have totally been there and know how difficult it is to go through, even though through faith and logic you know she is without pain and in the comforting arms of God. The pain of loss remains so much worse for those left behind. Later, as you go through the healing process in your own mind...at least this is how I felt (and it takes a long time) you will say to yourself, everyone has to go through this....but it just sucks and you feel almost numb for a while. My virtual arms wrap around you and I pray for comfort for you and your family. Again, I am so sorry for your huge loss.
Thank you, LUV W! I didn’t know he was in the hospital. Thank goodness he is once again resilient.
Yep...he’s a tough Brit! :D
Just hope he can stay home this time! He does better there,
I’ll bet!...he has a better nurse! :)
Safe bet ;-) !!!
Glad Your Dad is back home again!
Wow! He’s very good at bouncing back, health wise Thank YOU JESUS!!!!!<3
I’m sure You cooked a delicious saved for Dad & You to enjoy together meal,Snugs/Eleanor! :)
Welcome back home,Bryan!
Thanks for the ping/update: Eleanor/Snugs & Luvee!!
HUGS & LOVE to all 3!!!
I know what you are going through this time of year. I lost my friend, my brother Bill on Dec 19 to a brain tumor. We were very close and watching him die was the hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life. So my heart goes out to you.
I guess Karl didn’t have such a great birthday after all — I wish him (and Darby) all the best.

THANK YOU for the update on snugs and her dad . . . I’ll keep them both in my prayers!
George W. Bush is finally recovering from presidentialitis. Recent visitors tell us that the Decider has had difficulty adjusting to life outside of the White House. But now he's in great spirits, looking younger and wrapping up work on his autobiography. New on that front is his addition of how God; his dad, the former president; and his wife have influenced his life.
