First of all my apologies for being so late to post the monthly Sanity Island. I got started late and and that put me behind
It’s almost 11 month since President Bush has left office. There goes no day by that I wished he were still in the White House. No matter though he is still my President and will always be as long as I live.
Today I will post photos from December 2001 and 2002, and tomorrow from 2003 and 2004

Belated Christmas blessings to each of you.
I’ve been away for a while cause my dear Mom, who has had cancer for several years, was very ill for the past few months. She went Home to Jesus on Dec 20th. She is now at peace but my heart is broken. I’m trying not to ‘think’ too much and I knew I could come here and find something that would make me smile. The pics of W and Lady Laura always accomplish this.

What a tough Christmas it must have been for you this year! Please know we’ll be remembering you and your family in our prayers.
Was kinda busy this year, cause we had #1 son's fiance and her parents for Christmas Dinner. Then today, Paul and Sarah got all married up! So the holiday preparations were a little busier than usual, though the only preparing I had to do was make my outfit (turned out lovely) and last night, after everyone left, I baked 8 dozen Red Velvet Cupcakes, in lieu of a Groom's Cake. Mmmm, they were tasty.
It was fun, and I even got my husband out on the floor for a dance! But we were all exhausted, and glad to get back home. I walked in the door, and immediately kicked off my fancy shoes, cause my feets was hurting!

Thank you, Suzi. Prayers are much welcomed and needed. I am comforted in that my Mom is no longer suffering and is with God. She loved Christmas and I can only imagine how wonderful it is to celebrate the birth of Christ in HIS presence.

Laura Bush, Henry Paulson, Mitt Romney and Karl Rove are among the big political names with books coming out in Spring 2010.
The former first lady’s memoir, “Spoken from the Heart,” will be published by Scribner on May 4. The publisher declined to give any details but it will presumably cover her husband’s political career and their time in the White House. Former President George W. Bush has signed a book deal with Crown, but a publication date hasn’t been scheduled.
