WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Two senators on Tuesday gave a boost to next week's global environmental summit in Copenhagen, with a senior Democrat advocating more U.S. funding of climate change efforts by poor nations and a key Republican calling for quick action on a U.S. climate bill.
Democratic Senator John Kerry, a leading advocate of climate control legislation in Congress, recommended that the Obama administration include $3 billion in next year's budget to help fund efforts to address global warming. This year's funding is about one third that amount.
Senator Lindsey Graham, one of the few Republicans willing to negotiate with Democrats on a climate change bill, told Reuters, "I think we need to act by next spring" to pass a bill limiting U.S. carbon dioxide emissions.
Graham also said it is time for the U.S. business community to get behind such an effort. "Business has to weigh in here," Graham said in an interview.
"The environmental community is becoming very reasonable," Graham added, by signaling its openness to more offshore oil and gas drilling and expanded nuclear power.

When your brokers become vampires, this is something like they will come up with. Whereas most stocks and bonds must represent some underlying value, these can be invented straight out of thin air, as fast as your laser printer can spit them out. Something like the new Obama Dollar.

They want this really bad, if they are willing to pretend to back drilling and nukes to get it. They aren't stupid. They know once it passes they get veto power over, not just drilling and nukes, but abso-freaking-lutely everything; you will pay a legal bribe to get permission to do anything, hire specialty law firms they own to navigate the byzantine new rules they make up as they go along and to facilitate that bribe, and then they get a cut of whatever action you just bribed them to get permission to undertake.
And its all based on a lie that everyone knows is a lie, and everyone now knows that everyone knows is a lie.
There has got to be a movie in here somewhere. I can almost hear Al Pacino emoting at the top of his lungs. Or maybe Nicholson, I'm not sure who gets to play Satan in this one. Either one would be good.

The psychology of the whole thing is really fascinating. It would be really interesting if you could monitor the thoughts of news network suits and other AWG stooges as this thing has unfolded. When those editors, for the 10th day in a row, decide that they don't have the time or space for this story, but have plenty for apocalyptic scare stories about how we're all melting, you really have to wonder what goes on in their heads. Is it just pure corruption, or are they still convinced that the whole AWG fad isn't over?

Marron- this is several posts I’ve seen of yours on this issue now, and I have to tell you, you’re spot on and pretty savvy when it comes to reading the writing on the wall- that is precisely what these ecoterrorists are goign to do- play all nicey nice to get repubs on board when they ram through climate bills i nthe middle of the night when noone is looking, then when the deal is done, and America and the world have fallen into the trap- they’ll turn right around and pull the rug out from under the dolts like Graham’s feet whereby these dolts iwll looked stunned, jaw agape,m wondering what hit them... for the 1,000’th time in a row

That’s EXACTLY how this is playing out- passing mandates by pulling imaginary facts and figures out of thin air because the evidence doesn’t actually support the claims- thugs do this all the time- and it looks liek they are goign to get away with it one more time- only htis time, it’ll be the undoing of entire nations all across the globe.
