Three months ago, I joined a number of Americans in urging President Obama to provide the resources necessary to achieve our goals in Afghanistan. Tonight, I am glad he mostly heeded that advice........
I wish that this were so. It sounded to me like a half-heared, Vietnam-style no-win war.
Oh she’s at a book signing right now? Perhaps this was written before she even heard the speech. She should go home and watch it and see for herself the arrogance this supposed leader showed tonight. I think she will see things differently. She is playing the safe approach, I can understand that but doesn’t mean I have to agree with it

This was a smart move on her part. She’s calling Obama out to win the war and she’s driving his base crazy because they are not happy he’s adding troops plus now he’s set a policy that even Sarah Palin agrees with. Heads must be exploding right now over at DU.

Sarah had to back O up because as she says she advocated basically the same outline in strategy. Sarah does however differs with O on a number of points. Its not the best strategy O is proposing but it is better than pulling out. If I understand the meaning of pragmatic this is Sarah being pragmatic.
I agree....Good political gamesmanship by Sarah,why can’t others figure out that she just cornered him by saying that she supported him but only on certain conditions and tha’s to “win it”.............she knows that he will cut and run but she will be on the record as supporting him initially!
