“Fortunately Cops deemed he was dead, after confrontation today.”

Erased by the power of Glock.

Actually, the prior judge had already ordered there be no bail:

Huckabee Releases Statement, Judge Named Who Set Bail For Maurice Clemmons

Judge Thomas J. Felnagle reversed a prior judge's order of "NO BAIL" and set bail at $150,000 for Maurice Clemmons for Rape of a Child in the Second Degree

It is said people get the kind of government they deserve. Seattle, a bastion of liberalism, got what they voted for (I cannot say deserved because such a tragedy is deserved by none).

I’ve been so curious about this Judge Felnagle. That’s how I found the article above.

Surprised when I googled his name only two articles appeared. TWO!! And he’s the one who gave Clemmons bail. Shouldn’t the media be covering him more?

Oh well, I’ve got to leave for work. Will check back later.

I’m sure that there were other psychologists to claim that Clemmons was safe for release. He would never have been released otherwise. What a bungling incompetent profession.

I just can’t believe this guy *reversed* the prior judges no bail order. I’d like to hear his justification, especially now.

Especially if it only takes 10% of the bail set to meet it. $19,000 is really nothing.

Yes, I thought it was a clear and coherently presented article, with all expected information provided.

Like we need a psychologist to conclude the obvious, with a spin of "it wasn;t his fault, he was crazy!

No he wasn't crazy, he was evil. His problem was spiritual, not psychosomatic.

He knew the child rape charge was a possible third strike that could send him to prison for life.

That's the money quote. Here's my theory. Clemmons knew he was looking at life because of the 3 strikes law. Having served a lengthy prison term, he decided he'd rather die than do life in prison. But before dying, he'd like to take some white cops with him.

Also, I think he might have been faking mental illness to avoid trial or to support an insanity defense.

Capital crime means the death penalty is proscribed.

Child rape doesn’t qualifies for the death penalty according to the courts. I disagree with them.

Florida had a death penalty statute for the crime until a short while ago, although no one had been sentenced to death for it since the 60s.

It’s difficult to understand how this story has been ignored since the perps death this morning. Why has it been put on the back burner?
