I support Zero in expanding or troops in Afghanistan. Otherwise, he's done more damage to this country in 11 months than Carter could have done in 8 years.

How old is Jane Fonda? 80? I’ll be so glad when these pre-baby boomers fad away. (especially carter) The hippies and pre-boomers have been ruining this country since the 60’s. It’s time for them to feel the wrath liberalism. But, they’ll be the first to bitch and moan about the exact stuff they are fighting for. Hypocrites, the entire lot of liberals. They’re going to get their way, and they’ll be the first to be rationed if the healthcare takeover passes.

Exactly! Then again, he can’t possibly move as fast these spoiled little leftist SOBs want him to—and get away with it. So he has-to move 2 or 3 steps forward(’forward’ in their view) and one step back. The country isn’t that dumb yet to stand by and let it all happen at once. A little at a time and they won’t notice so much, assuming enough people today even understand what is happening, likely a foolish assumption on my part.

Such sweetness. The very ones who elected and funded him, are now protesting. Sweet.

How old is Jane Fonda? 80?

Around that I suppose. In any case, she's as much a commie today as she was back then, despite her great wealth.

November 22, 1970 -- During a fund-raising tour for GI deserters, Vietnam Veterans Against the War and the Black Panthers, Jane Fonda is quoted in the Detroit Free Press as telling a University of Michigan audience:

"I would think that if you understood what communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees that we would someday become communist," and "The peace proposal of the Viet Cong is the only honorable, just, possible way to achieve peace in Vietnam."

February 16, 1971: Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland form "FTA" (F*** The Army), an anti-war, anti-American road show that tours near Army bases in order to undermine troop morale. Skits and songs portray American defeats, soldiers refusing to fight, and the murder of officers by their troops. FTA cast members mingle with soldiers after the shows, encouraging them to desert or to sabotage the Army.

2009!!! FONDA STILL AT IT!! (in New York City, February, 2009)

With Former FTA Cast Member Jane Fonda in Person
Monday, February 2 at 7:00pm and 9:15pm
7:00pm show sold out!

FTA (1972, Francine Parker), the Vietnam War-era documentary, will have an ultra-rare screening in a restored archival print with former FTA cast member Jane Fonda in person, Monday, February 2 at 7:00pm and 9:15pm; the 7:00pm show is sold out. Following the screening, Ms. Fonda will talk about the film and her work in the controversial antiwar touring show in a discussion moderated by David Zeiger, director of the recent documentary Sir! No Sir! A portion of the proceeds from the evening will benefit Iraq Veterans against the War, a nonprofit organization that advocates for ending the war and for providing support to returning service members.

Virtually unseen in any format since a brief theatrical run in 1972, FTA documents "the show the Pentagon couldn't stop." The revue, whose letters were said to stand both for Free Theater Associates and also Free (or, at times, another F-word) The Army, brought antiwar entertainment to military personnel at the height of Vietnam. Performers like Ms. Fonda, Donald Sutherland and Holly Near toured towns near military bases around the US and overseas, lending their support to troops who opposed the war. The film follows the troupe as it travels and performs near US military bases on the Pacific Rim -- Hawaii, Okinawa, the Philippines -- encouraging opposition to the war among the rank-and-file of US forces.

FTA is a gritty mix of rollicking performances and GI interviews, juxtaposing lighthearted political satire with the somber realities of war, occupation, and the absurdities of military life, a barbed rebuke to the staid USO program. From Okinawa to the Philippines, stirred by the show's provocative message, the members of the U.S. military find courage to speak out candidly in front of the camera.

Fonda and Sutherland are joined on stage by an all-star cast of musicians and activists including folk musician Len Chandler and comedian Paul Mooney. A fresh look at the Vietnam anti-war movement through the songs and skits that shook a generation, this film will leave you singing along with the fired-up men and women of the military. Foxtrot, Tango, Alpha... F*** the Army!

Print courtesy of the Academy Film Archive.

Tickets: $12 IFC Center members, $15 general admission.

The anti-war left is turning on the president it helped put into office, launching a counteroffensive against President Obama's decision to escalate the war in Afghanistan.

This may mean that I'm not a good person, but I take a distinct pleasure in this. :)

"With just one speech tomorrow night you will turn a multitude of young people who were the backbone of your campaign into disillusioned cynics," Moore wrote.

Nah, that happened when none of them could find/hold a job and had to remain living with their parents and their "silly house rules".

Isn’t it great? The anti-capitalists want all the money, and want to deny us from it. They’re having a hard time with converting America. And, when the fight really begins, capitalists, Americans will win. We’re at the beginning phase, and 2010 is critical. It will direct the outcome of America. Freedom isn’t just an American thing, it’s a HUMAN thing. We will fight, and we will win. How many of your ‘regular’ Americans will fight for freedom? My hand is raised.

The elitist “intellectual” liberal left sincerely believe they are smarter and better than everyone else. And that they will or should run the world. Given that, they “deserve” to live in luxury (they think).

Ever notice how the far left never protests about the lack of jobs?

Why would they? They've got their comfy tenured positions in academia or union-protected g-jobs in gubmint. The rest of us with jobs that pay for their inflated salaries/bennies can keep paying and the unemployed can go to hell.

They are a little late. The 0ne has talked to allies, the order is out and tomorrow he reads from his teleprompter. Had the left mobilized earlier, the hollow coward in the White House very well could have buckled. Especially if the presstitutes got on board with the protests. Oh well.
