He’s dead Jim. Bye Huck, we hardly knew ye.

Great idea, let’s start beating up on other Republicans now so that Obama’s reelection in 2012 can be sealed early so he can concentrate on pressing matters like Health Care, Cap and Trade and the Fairness Doctrine.
I wouldn’t vote for Huck, but why the utter hatred of him among Freepers? It makes no sense.
To: bigred08
I like Huckabee, but his national political career is toast. I wouldn’t vote for him knowing the amount of clemencies he granted.

Personally I am very glad Huck is out of Sarah’s way but the Huck bashing here often has tones that as a southerner I see too often here...same old Yankee snottiness.
So back at any of you hick baiters.

In 1989, Clemmons, then 17, was convicted in Little Rock for aggravated robbery. He was paroled in 2000 after Huckabee commuted Clemmons' 95-year prison sentence. Huckabee, who was criticized during his run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008 for the number of clemencies and commutations he granted, cited Clemmons' age at the time of the sentence.
"Back then, Gov. Huckabee granted clemency to a disturbing number of people, including a man named Maurice Clemmons who should have never been left out," said Larry Jegley, prosecuting attorney for Arkansas' Pulaski County.'Nuff said.

I hope he doesn't run for president he will just take votes away from Sarah Palin the one that can win in 2012..I never would have voted for Huckabee anyway..I do hope the people of Iowa should read this about him letting this criminal out of jail..
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family's of the police officers..I hope this loon is dead when they find him because then we won't have to spent millions of dollars on a worthless piece of garbages trial..

FoxNews Alert:
Just reporting that suspect Clemmons is NOT in the house that the police had surrounded.
At least 2 other people helped Clemmons in getting from the coffee shop to this house.
Police are unsure how he evaded them, as they thought he was in the house. They do believe he is wounded, but he has not sought any medical attention at local emergency rooms.

Maybe he can borrow one of Obambi’s excuses, like how he was only a kid when Bill Ayers was making and planting bombs and organizing violent riots.
Or maybe one of the ones BO used to declare how the Ft. Hood massacre was not a reflection on any of his politically correct policies with regards to national security and possible jihadist threats.

The way I heard it was that Huck commuted this scumbag’s 60-yr sentence.
In addition, they were saying in regard to his time in the state of Washington that he was known to have delusions about cops always following him...in other words, cops were always in his head even if the cops weren’t doing anything to him at the time. So they were saying his mental health was actually a problem, not only his criminality.
Yet, he was out on bail in Washington.
Many people screwed up.
It ALL STARTED WITH HUCK commuting his 60-yr sentence!
When I heard this, I knew Huck’s political career was DEAD.

Huckabee is done, the crimes against this guy when Huckabee pardoned him were incredible, he was serving 60 years but facing another 100 years in follow on charges ...

I think Huck is a good man, but he is standing in the way of Sarah Palin! He would not get out last election even when he had no chance to win. Sarah is the favorite, yet Huck will take some of her votes, he should sign a long term deal with Fox and get behind Sarah, then I could enjoy his tv show more. Always got the feeling that his show was meant as a way to the WH, he always likes to bring in libs as guests quite often, think this is to make him more acceptable to the masses.
To: bigred08
Excellent idea. Maybe he got the message.

I know it's popular, especially around here, to blame the Huckster, for the release of the POS that killed the 4 LEO’s in WA, but the latest to release the murderer was Judge FELNAGLE, correct? Didn't FELNAGLE overturn another judge's ruling to deny bail, setting the now known amount of $150,000 ($15,000 cash) and why aren't we hearing about this travesty?
One of FELNAGLE'S listed charities in his bio. is Save the Children. Where's the OUTRAGE???

Clemency and commuting sentences of convicted violent felons is way out of hand. Clemency for someone sentenced to death or life should not be possible except by court action with overwhelming new evidence to prove innocence.
A death sentence should never be Clemency considered and only reducible to life without parole by any governor. Other than that leave it to the courts. Juries and judges passed their harsh sentences down for good reasons. Commuting a sentence otherwise should be limited mainly to non violent crimes.
My state had a governor at one time who ran a cash for clemency business while in office. His customers got the chance to kill again and a few did just that very thing.
Bye Bye Huck. You can join Newt and others who's personal actions and choices while in office were not among the best or wise.
