On a hunch, I searched for Obama's and Holdren's names in the emails and came up with the following. Note the first how they are making fun of the FOIA.
New Zealand tinkering with the climate record.
THIS is the story!
Why is it these e-mails sound like listening to FBI bugs of the MOB.
These unethical, unprincipled types have set back REAL science decades.
This is NOT a small matter. Especially with the trillions of $$$ at stake.
UK
New Zealand
Who is next?
Physical threats to those who won’t get on the “program”. Incredible!!
Well, it couldn't be the United States. All the scientists here tell only the truth, and do not depend on government grants for their livelihood. (/sarc)
Australia, probably. We have a LABOR government, dedicated to the EMMISSIONS TRADING SCHEME.
Supported by the Leader of the Opposition, Malcolm Turnbull, who may lose his leadership position over it. Hopefully.
“...They now expect Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s bid to secure the legislation before world climate change talks in Copenhagen will fail, delivering the government a potential double dissolution election trigger with the Liberals facing their greatest split in a generation...”
THINGS ARE HOT IN PARLIAMENT IN OZ!
Now that the tinkering has been definatively proven, Heads ought to start rolling soon.
STARTING WITH MIKE MANN.
mark for future reference.
Thanks for the work.
Not able to read and digest all this now but will try to read it through later.
Have been searching for a bulleted list of highlights of Climategate - but it looks like maybe it’s just too extensive a crime scene to get that....looks like it will need an encyclopedia approach.
Looks like there are some honest politicians left...they just all happen to be from Australia:
Climategate: five Aussie MPs lead the way by resigning in disgust over carbon tax
Australia is leading the revolt against Al Gores great big AGW conspiracy just as the Aussie geologist and AGW sceptic Professor Ian Plimer predicted it would.
ABC news reports that five frontbenchers from Australias opposition Liberal party have resigned their portfolios rather than follow their leader Malcolm Turnbull in voting with Kevin Rudds Government on a new Emissions Trading Scheme.
The Liberal Party is in turmoil with the resignations of five frontbenchers from their portfolios this afternoon in protest against the emissions trading scheme.
Tony Abbott, Sophie Mirabella, Tony Smith and Senators Nick Minchin and Eric Abetz have all quit their portfolios because they cannot vote for the legislation.
Senate whip Stephen Parry has also relinquished his position.

Turnbull, the Leader of the Opposition LIBERAL (CONSERVATIVE) PARTY COALITION is looking after the massive investments in alternative energy, IMO. It’s a very short-term view.
He deserves to lose his leadership position.
More here (have to admit Aussie politics is all new to me):
It’s time to step aside (refers to Australia’s conservative opposition leader)

MALCOLM Turnbull’s arrogant decision to declare the party that has rebelled against him as being in favour of the Emissions Trading Scheme has created a crisis that may see the Liberals join him in the political wilderness.
Unprecedented scenes in Parliament last night saw not only the Coalition in turmoil with a growing tide of shadow ministers resigning from the frontbench to allow themselves to oppose the ETS, but the Rudd Government seeking ways to ram the amendments the Opposition leader agreed to through the Senate before Mr Turnbull goes.
For now, he remains defiant and is still seen by his supporters as trying to modernise the Liberal Party into a political force for the 21st century.
More likely, he will end on the scrapheap of history.

Jenny Wong, 'Climate Change Minister' with Kevin Rudd, Prime Minister, Leader of the LABOR government.
Malcolm Turnbull, Leader of the Liberal Party, (Head of the Conservative Coalition)
LIBERAL IN OZ DOESN'T MEAN LEFT, IT MEANS RIGHT. WE ARE DOWN-UNDER, REMEMBER, LOL! CYCLONES AND BATH WATER DRAINS IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION.
So let me see if I got this right: Essentially your Dem & Repub leaders (Labor & Liberals respectively) were both in the tank for climate change legislation & the Libs revolted within their own party to wrest control from Lib (conservative) leader Turnball.
What happens next?
from what I know, Turnbull supported a lesser version...but yes, he was in favour of the Emission Trading Scheme.
I hope he’s TOAST!
The Prime Minister will now attempt to have the ETS passed, before there’s a change of Leadership...or there could be a double dissilution of Parliament, with new elections.
My terminology may not be 100% but that how it seems.
OUTSTANDING work! Thank you very much. BUMP-TO-THE-TRUTH!

Notice the Teresa Heinz and the Kennedy part.
Heinz (before his death) was GOP, IIRC, but Teresa is not. She married Sen. Gigolo Purple Heart (who by the way served in Viet Nam, and who to my knowledge never released his original full SF 180).
Cheers!
