The word I hear from friends still in the military is that they despise this pres__ent. Basically because he's voting present on Afghanistan and forcing our troops not to pursue enemy combatants for fear of hitting civilians.
I can remember when Slick Willie was in office, we got all these subtle reminders about how we couldn't criticize any government officials because it was against the UCMJ. Funny, as "bad" as Bush was I don't recall hearing those reminders. I can only imagine how it is for our troops with this poser in the WH.
Therefore it is NOT against the standards for Palin to say a few words, sign books, and have her picture taken with military personnel.Palin would not diss Obama if she spoke.
You assume and project that she would
We've both agreed on the rules several times.
I imagine you can file a suit against Palin for these pictures. Taken on a Military base and a ship.
According to you, against the standards. And oh my they are saluting her!!! Court martial in order, huh?
ok. end of discussion. you are rude.
Sorry you don't get my points
Or maybe you do:
I know she is too dignified and too respectful of these soldiers to criticize their CIC.
Thanks for making my point that she would not go against the standards if she spoke.
Asking her not to speak, sign books or have pictures taken with troops does not go along with the standards, it is political on the part the spokesman for the base.
This president has not said ONE POSITIVE THING about the United States on foreign soil since he’s been president, at least that is INCLUSIVE of any president who ever came before him.
Nope, this nation was rotten except for the muslims that built it way way back when.
You forget that Obama was a sitting Senator and as such had access to military installations.
Sarah Palin is a civilian who has no guaranteed access to a military installation. When you are admitted to a base, then you are subject to whatever the Commander has to say.
Some of you on here are getting more thin skinned by the day when it comes to Palin.
You are not allowed as a candidate to give speeches on military installations. If you remember Obama was not allowed to do a photo op at Ramstein Hospital so he didn’t go visit the troops.
Sarah was here in Phoenix last week at a Costco, where she signed 1,000 copies of her book. The press release in the local rag (AZ Republic) stated that she would not personalize autographs, sign anything other than her book or pose for pictures. I have not heard that she gave a speech either. I’m sure it’s just not possible to give everything to everyone, especially considering that many thousands are showing up to these events. I agree as well...some of the hurumphing around here is ridiculous. The military should be non political.
There will be PLENTY of time for PRESIDENT palin to make speeches at military bases.
Yes.
yeah, a commercial event at the PX, right? no commerce there. If I was serving there I’d be rightly pissed but one smile from Sarah as she touched my book would more than compensate. That would be a special moment, that would be a leadership moment.
