A man who calls himself SAL9000 has married his virtual girlfriend with a public reception, MyFoxDFW.com reported.

The man reportedly fell in love with a virtual girl named Nene Anegasaki and plans to hold a public wedding reception in Tokyo.

Since the girl doesn't really exist, SAL9000 reportedly took his Nintendo DS to Guam for a legal ceremony and honeymoon, and will livecast the upcoming wedding reception online, MyFoxDFW.com reported.

I’m tempted to make fun of the dude, but 53% of our registered idiots voted for a virtual president. So, I’m really in no position to tease.

I met her once at a con in Burbank. She was struck me as down to earth and personable.

The one that had two other boyfriends.

She is one of the reasons I got so hooked on BSG. She is an awesome actress who played the whole range from seductress to outraged jilted lover to tormented by the genocide she had helped perpetrate. And she was spectacular as the captured and suicidal Cylon, Gina Inviare. She never got an Emmy and I find that startling.

It was actually the comic antics of early Gaius Baltar that got me started on new BSG and soon after Six. If I remember her presentation at the convention, she was a Canadian farm girl who made it as a model then actress.

I saw one episode and got hooked. Sadly it was an episode late in the fourth season and I saw it on Hulu a few days before the final episodes started airing on Sci Fi. The episode was "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner." I had never seen even a minute but from the very first moments, when the Cylon Basestar jumped into the middle of the fleet and the civilian ships jumping away in a panic. Adama orders the Galactica's gun to fire and Tigh yells, "Weapons Hold!" I thought to myself, what is this? I could not pull myself away.
Then I was immersed in the rest of the episode, Roslin telling Tory Foster, "I don't care if you are on your knees praying or just on your knees..." I was like what?

Apollo speaks with Roslin and she confesses to him sharing visions with the captured Cylon.
Gaeta singing to distract himself from the pain of his amputated leg through the whole episode.

Roslin's speech to the Quorum followed by Natalie's speech.

Natalie being murdered by Athena, the Cylon Hybrid panicing and crying, "Jump!" and as the Baseship jumps away, Gaeta is hauntingly singing, "...to have her please just one day awake...to have please just one day awake"

As soon as it was over, I ordered the first four seasons on eBay. I bought Season 4.5 as soon as it came out.

You know you laughed
I heard you laugh. You laughed
You laughed and laughed and then you left
But now you know I’m utterly mad

In recent years, there have been women around the world marrying dolphins, structures (the Eiffel Tower) and roller coasters. It's about time for a man to commit a blatant act of freakish stupidity.
