True, we'd show the true depth of his inadequacy and the people would run him out of office, but it would be only a few moments of "yeah, we beat him" before meeting our maker. That just wouldn't be worth it.

Hmm, well how about if Texas really did secede? Yeah, that would throw the country into chaos and we would most likely see many other "secession-minded" states join in and then...oh, right, O. would send in the militia, play a few rounds of golf and then make a public speech about how tragic it was to have to shoot Texas citizens in order to keep the national peace. While there are a few folks around here that I could live without, I've grown rather fond of some of the others. Guess that one's out too...
