This is my sick mind at work: I think what would save the day, aside from Mighty Mouse, is an old-fashioned national crisis like say, on the order of the October 1962 Cuban Missile.

"Nuclear catastrophe was hanging by a thread ... and we weren't counting days or hours, but minutes."-Soviet General and Army Chief of Operations, Anatoly Gribkov

Anyone old enough to vividly recall that one? Too over the top? Yeah, I guess this "golfer president" doesn't have the balls (golf balls, of course) to keep us from averting nuclear destruction. True, we'd show the true depth of his inadequacy and the people would run him out of office, but it would be only a few moments of "yeah, we beat him" before meeting our maker. That just wouldn't be worth it.

Hmm, well how about if Texas really did secede? Yeah, that would throw the country into chaos and we would most likely see many other "secession-minded" states join in and then...oh, right, O. would send in the militia, play a few rounds of golf and then make a public speech about how tragic it was to have to shoot Texas citizens in order to keep the national peace. While there are a few folks around here that I could live without, I've grown rather fond of some of the others. Guess that one's out too...

O.K., but this is my last attempt, we hire a hit man...What am I thinking???! That's a terrible idea and I am shocked that I even considered it. I can't afford a hit man. (I guess he'd want to be paid more than $25.00, right?)

Conversion of souls. Actual grace: "O Lord, enlighten their/our minds and strengthen their/our wills to do good and to avoid evil."

That's something you can always pray for without feeling loathesome moral corruption creeping over you.

"Anyone old enough to vividly recall that one?"

Oh, yea.

"Too over the top? Yeah, I guess this 'golfer president' doesn't have the balls (golf balls, of course) to keep us from averting nuclear destruction."

No way, Jose'. {how's that for inclusion? LOL}

"True, we'd show the true depth of his inadequacy and the people would run him out of office, but it would be only a few moments of 'yeah, we beat him' before meeting our maker. That just wouldn't be worth it."

Maybe it wouldn't be worth it; however, I've said once & I'll say again it will not be until an overwhelming majority of Americans feel great pain before they're shaken out of their malaise. I mean it. Fear's an important emotion, but, pain gets attention.

"Hmm, well how about if Texas really did secede? Yeah, that would throw the country into chaos and we would most likely see many other 'secession-minded' states join in and then...oh, right, O."

What about zerO?
The gutless wonder would be found huddled in a WH closet, shaking like a leaf & chain smoking one after another. LOL

"...would send in the militia, play a few rounds of golf and then make a public speech about how tragic it was to have to shoot Texas citizens in order to keep the national peace."

'Til it dawned on the imbecile everyone's the militia. Back to the closet. LOL

"Sick mind at work," indeed.
Your's is one 'sickness' I pray goes viral. ;^) LOL
