What makes you think the bill doesn’t implement their plan until 2013? I hadn’t heard that before.

This is what we are going to get:

A health care with trigger public option or a health care bill with trigger co-op. They will can overcome filibuster with either options. A trigger public option or trigger co-op means that socialized medicine is dead because triggers do not work and never get activiated. The left wing are going to go insane three weeks from now.

We have a serious leadership crisis in congress and the White House. We haven't been developing many strong political leaders in either party. Most of the people in congress are careerists who really think of their House or Senate seat as a career or a business, not as an opportunity to lead America in the right direction. Most of them are mainly in it for themselves and they are more loyal to their party organization than to their constituents because their party organization can get them their next high-paying job if they lose an election. The people they supposedly represent, mere citizens, aren't going to hire them for that next job in their career. If you're a congressional democrat and you lose an election, your next job will be at a liberal think tank or a liberal university or as a lobbyist talking to your old friends in the democrat party. So these people rarely vote against party leadership now, even when their leadership is clearly leading the country in the wrong direction, as it is with this health care "reform" bill.

We need a 50% turnover in congress to clear out a large number of these careerist people who are just in it for themselves in the political business. We need to find wealthy people and retired ex-military people to run for congress, who are real leaders and aren't concerned about where they'll find their next job: business people like John Boehner, ex-military people like Dwight Eisenhower, and people from professional sports and entertainment like Jack Kemp, Bill Bradley, and Sonny Bono. I'm encouraged to hear about Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina entering the political arena, even if they're more liberal than we'd like to see. At least they're not likely to be these careerist people who vote straight along with their party leaders every time. The political process is not functioning well in Washington, and we need to develop new political leaders especially in the GOP. I'd really like to see John Elway run for senator from Colorado. We have great leaders in this country but they're not going into politics, probably because campaigning has become this very nasty battle of attack and counter-attack through TV ads.

This vote tonight is going to be extremely disappointing. It's deplorable that so many careerist politicians would vote for such a bad idea as a government takeover of health care. The whole thing stinks and many of the careerists who votes for it are going to get beat in their next election when the public finally learns all the details of what a mess the democrats are trying to make out of our health care system. All I can say is everybody take care of your health because you may have a long wait in the future to see a doctor.

“And don’t forget all those “principled conservatives” who “sent a message” to the GOP in all of the recent elections.”

Those idiots are forcing all of us and our children to suffer.

At the current pace I can’t see this getting done before the end of the year, even if they can muster the votes...and that’s still unclear. People like Nelson and Lincoln might vote to proceed now, but who knows what will happen on the final bill.

We build a massive army, we have a great navy, the Air Force is the best in the world. All this was created to defend liberty from enemies outside our borders.
Little did we know that the enemy was within our own borders and they called themselves fellow countrymen.
This is how slaves are created.

“We’ll make gans but we certainly will not wipe them out. That is wishful thinking, not realistic.”

AGreed. There are too many adolescent psychotics in this country now. They will probably, along with all those “brilliant” independents, add to Democrat majorities in 2010 and also re-elect Mr. Obama.

Be prepared to be ruled by scu&bags.

IMHO

I don't see it that way Reeser. Thesew people are communist and their next step is to get the illegals leagalized and voting. If they can do this quick enough they know it will save most of their asses.

I really don't see any way out any more beyond a revolt by those who still believe in the Constitution and love freedom. The Antichrist Obama is here for the sole purpose of leading us into the NWO...even if it means we go kicking and screaming...they do not care. Regardless of who wins this war...and it iis a war between good and evil...it will end badly.

. I am afraid it will come down to revolt by those that care about freedomed. Armed if nec

These psychotic idiots have been forcing us to suffer for the last fifty years. Why should they change now and why
should the “electorate”, so filled with ignorant scu&bags, change now that they’ve elected a bunch of communist scu&bags to dictate their agenda?

IMHO

Watch the Demonrats use “reconciliation” to avoid having to accept a 60 member vote to prevent a filibuster.

Best thing to do right now is to target all RINOs and all Democrats where there is a good chance of unseating them in the Senate, and also in the House.

I have a new defibrillator/pacemaker in my chest, and my father-in-law, an Iwo veteran, just had his pacemaker recharged. These were already paid for so there is no sane reason except greed to tax them at higher rates for anyone in the future.

This will hurt both the needy patient and the insurance company that covers these expenses. My insurance company, Blue Cross/Blue Shield Anthem has been wonderful in covering my cardiac arrest/resuscitation, and subsequent stent implant, pneumonia, and the defibrillator.

Damned these cowards and communists in Congress.

Let the new American revolution begin with a purge of our political enemies and the cowards in our own ranks.

“This is vote to start the debate but they do not have 60 votes to end the debate as long as there is a public option in the bill and they are not going to go for reconciliation and or nuclear option.
Seriously people, the ignorance is becoming so scary on this forum. Only few people with brains are left”

A final bill of this nature, minus the so called “public option”, is STILL A “PUBLIC” Federal “beltway/entrenched interests control bill.”

The Pelosi Socialists, Reid Sell-outs and Race-card Obamunists have declared war on the American people. Many of us are sworn to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. The ballot in 2010 is one of many responses. Tonight is the last straw.

IMO it’s still a more successful path if the Republican Party comes to it’s collective senses...

That's not going to happen. EVER.

The ONLY way the GOP will return to it's senses is if bareknuckle Conservatives rise up and BEAT IT INTO THEM.

Thanks for some words of hope. I’ll keep researching while I hope you are right. As I brought up before, if this government health bill goes against the intentions of the U.S. Constitution, why can’t we band together and file a class action lawsuit against it?

Let the new American revolution begin with a purge of our political enemies and the cowards in our own ranks.

I read a lot of opinions predicting another revolution in America to get these scoundrels out of office. Another subject relates to so many gun sales in recent months.

What will it take to revolt? How much are we willing to tolerate from these D.C evil-doers?

If this government take-over of every American's health care, which will give them access to all our medical records, plus the full authority to decide what care we can and cannot have, doesn't cause Americans to rise up and revolt, then, IMO, nothing will.

Just as these socialists believe, we're all talk and will lie down and let them take full control of our lives. As I've asked before, can a class action suit be brought against congress for usurping power the U.S. Constitution forbids them to have? Does anyone have the answer?
