The FBI is worried a group linked to al-Qaeda is training up a new generation of terrorists.
They're thought to be targeting young Somali immigrants, radicalising them to carry out attacks on their home country and possibly the US in the future.
The grey high rise flats in Cedar-Riverside, Minneapolis, are clustered together and are home to hundreds of Somali immigrants.
It's not clear why teenagers like these are giving up their comfortable lives in America and returning to their war torn homeland.
But over the past three years, authorities believe 20 young Somali men have gone back to fight in the bitter civil war, which is reported to have claimed hundreds of thousands of lives.
Illegal refugees
According to census figures there are 35,000 Somalis living in America but the figure is almost certainly a massive underestimate as many live in the country illegally.
Now an extremist Muslim group, which America calls a terrorist organisation, is trying to gain control.
The US believes al-Shabaab has ties to al-Qaeda. It's a shadowy organisation which is made up of radical Islamists.
The FBI were reluctant to spell out the threat, but they do believe something sinister is happening in the local Somali community.
They're calling it their biggest terror investigation since 9/11.
Agents won't say if mosques or religious leaders are involved but they do think victims are being radicalised in America before being trained as fighters in Somalia.
An 18-year-old Somali man, who refused to give his name, said: "I am very scared and I feel uncomfortable in this country. I just hope the government know what they're doing here and they don't mess with the wrong people."
As for the American people, many of them are scared too. Their biggest fear is another 9/11.

You may begin here in Maine. Our picturesque Somalis are just about the biggest collective PIA we have ever seen. Unfortunately, those who invited them here and spent our state's (and federal) money to set them up neglected to go to the Bowdoin Library and look up just who these particular Somalis are, to what tribes they belong, and what their lives were like in Somalia.
They are border tribes who made their living rustling livestock and smuggling. They are "refugees" in the sense that tribes nastier than they, were warring with them. They are primitive Muslims, with female mutilation rituals, bloodthirsty screaming imams, polygamy, "child marriage," and require massive subsidies to survive here ... in a very poor region to begin with.
Furthermore, they are extremely haughty and can be very badly behaved. Often, they simply cannot get along with our citizens who pay the taxes to support them, never mind that we have more than enough trouble with our illegal Mexicans, Colombians, and other of the hemisphere's quaint and colorful jetsam somehow cast up on our shores.
It's a fast-breeding mess and we are out of money. These people belong in the pages of National Geographic, not in the country.

I am really horrified about this situation, particularly because I believe that it could continue for several future benerations, and not "merely" a few more years OR decades.
I have NO idea why this was permitted to develop in the first place. It does NOT make any logical sense.
True, the more sophisticated "Muslim Moderates," physicians, IT people, etc, do not believe in killing us unless necessary for their own jihad. Their rationale: "Why kill those who can pay dhimmi? At the same time, we can use more of our western salaries to support our less sophisticated brethern with the money they need for weapons and campaigns of terror."
"No point, really, Q'uran tells us that the infidels will all wind up as our slaves in Paradise firdous anyway. so why not collect from them while the smiling fools live?" Now that's moderation, Muslim style.
If liberals won't read our own Bible, what makes you think they will read Q'uran? Or would have read "Mein Kampf?"

It was pretty shocking, but I suppose you already know about it.
The segment I saw was about 90 seconds long, where they brought a group of Somalis over to a large gas range, and explained to them that it was called a "STOVE" and that this was how Americans prepared their food, and that in their relocation apartments, they would see one of these in something called a, "KITCHEN."
Absolutely no one in the crowd had ever seen anything remotely resembling a "stove," whatever that is....
It gave me a whole new understanding into.... why the children of these immigrants may be ... confused in their new country, even if they are BORN HERE.

I’ve seen what I think is a Minneapolis ping list, but I don’t know whether there are ping lists for the states of Maine and/or Minnesota.
In one respect what you write is exceptionally funny and indicative of your remarkably witty sense of humor; but on the other hand, what you pose is very serioiusly near to, if not precisely, THE truth.
As comforting as it might be to assign blame to one organization, you might want to figure out to whom the Washington bureaucrats at FBI HQ are answerable.
Hint: Congress. Research the "Church commission."
Some of the restrictions on the FBI were removed by the Patriot Act in the wake of 9/11, but, again, the FBI serves as a branch of the Justice Department and the DOH, under the less-than-enlightened but always-political supervision of Congress.
It's always political, all the time. But that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of FBI field agents who do their best to protect their country. Don't blame them if politics, and PC, get in the way.

These poor Somalis are dying in the American streets due to the lack of affordable healthcare. They have no choice but to resort to terrorism. /s
