There are going to be massive defaults on the student loans just as there were on subsidized mortgages.

They won’t LET you default on a student loan. You can’t even discharge them through bankruptcy. I met a lady once who got a government job as a Skip Tracer tracking down student loan scofflaws. She got the job because she spoke Spanish, and was tasked with finding student loan defaulters who had gone to SOUTH AMERICA!!

That being said I fully expect Obama and the Democrats to start floating student loan “forgiveness” schemes any time they are running behind in the polls close to an election.

They won’t LET you default on a student loan.

What they do is write a new loan and keep stretching it out.

It’s much worse than that... they have to pay off $50,000 in student loans while unemployed.

What they are all doing is calling up and saying I can’t pay. What happens is they just get another loan with longer and longer terms. And now we’re going to tell them they need to be patriotic and buy a health insurance plan they can’t afford either? Riiiiiight.

That's a hilarious clip. A bunch of pampered Obama voting Ethnic Studies majors protesting because college education costs have inflated so much due to subsidies and government meddling.

Hey guys, looks like the chickens have come home to roost. It's your mess; good luck with it. Maybe in a few years you can graduate with your Chicano Studies degree and promptly start your post-college career off as an unemployable leech on welfare.

That’s the funniest thing I have seen all day.

The police look like they would rather be in Afghanistan.

“Reduce the tuition for science (the real ones) and engineering students to zero and make the ‘ethnic studies’ etc. students pay for it ALL. After all, the latter will be sponging off the former for the rest of their lives.”

A good idea.

From your link:

"The students' rightful expectations exceed the resources of California," he said after the vote. Over and over, students rose during the public comment period to tell Yudof and the regents that UC is an intellectual refuge that will be lost to the immigrants, students of color and low-income people who have come to depend on it. "Say goodbye to diversity," said Corey Matthews, chairman of the Afrikan American Student Union at UCLA.

I have been saying for years that college and tuition increases every year are a crime, but mostly because the out of touch "pillars" of academia give themselves raises every year and believe they are untouchable.

For minorities to complain is sheer hypocrisy and garbage. Since I and my children are white, my kids are not eligible for the give aways available to minorities when it comes to college.

I am speaking the truth: if you are a minority with an academic record that is even close to average or below average, your college or university tuition is virtually paid for compared to a white student with much better grades.

Moreover, our tax dollars, and dollars of white families who pay full tuition go to degrees like "Queer Studies" and "Black Studies."

Or sometimes both.....

Dramatic Footage: Near Riots at UCLA Over Proposed 32% Tuition Hike

I have no sympathy for this crowd. If Congress and Zero want to take on "College Tuition Reform", I am all years. But like trial lawyers, the media, homosexuals and the abortion industry, the Democrats won't take on their corrupt constituency.

Excellent idea.

Can you imagine televised Congressional hearings regarding the garbage colleges and universities are spewing forth, and taking federal tax dollars to do so?
