According to some news sources, this is on top of an over 100% increase last year.

Chickens coming home to roost. Thanks, California legislature. Wonder if the benefits to illegal aliens are going to be reduced? Bet not.

Just imagine if any evil for-profit industry jacked rates yearly like colleges do...

High tuition prices? Thank the feds who subsidized student loans for years and years. Now students graduate into bankruptcy.

Has California tuition caught up with the rest of the country yet. For a long time, it was nearly free there.

What, brain washing is becoming more expensive? That’s positive news.

Agree. Every time Gov’t gets involved, prices go up. College, health care, etc.

Makes sense, jack up college tuitions so high that only the “select few” can afford to go and all the rest of us are left to shovel sh!t in Louisiana for a living…

UCLA students not game for 32% tuition hike, barricade campus building

True/Slant - ‎27 minutes ago‎
Looks like the University of California's Board of Regents underestimated what sort of reaction a proposed 32% tuition hike would generate. ...

What is really funny is these Socialist Turds all voted for "O".

This will be coming to them at the Federal Level as well.

Half the facility is probably Alinkski-ites, yet they love their Cadillac Health Care, not to mention their TIAA-CREF 403b probably with a real juicy match, not to mention the Defined Benefit Plan. Oh and their early buyouts, yum....

That is what they are paying for, notice, I am not shedding a tear for their angst.

The entire UC system is a joke. These people are complaining because they might actually have to pay for something at some point.

If you think about it, it’s a way for CA to rip the rest of us off. The students get guaranteed federal loans and the kids with grants get more federal assistance (thus the school gets more federal assistance).

Now the rest of us can get started on the California bailout program. I have a feeling that California is going to do everything it can to funnel federal money into it’s coffers.

So a bunch of liberal UCLA students are refusing to pay their fair share? Why am I not surprised?

Remember: it’s okay for communist college professors to have nice houses and fancy cars - they’re doing the work of the people. :)

Ah, the peace and justice crowd. You gotta love ‘em.

On the other side of the barricade: there’s something surreal about a threatened pissed off cop with a billy club... wearing a bicycle helmet.

With New York State on deck warming up. By the way, how much "stimulus" money will NYC get to host the "Live from NY" It's the Saturday Night Show Trials?

I'll bet not one of these students would agitate to reduce college costs. They just don't want to pay for it. Here is a simple solution for CA colleges, 20% staff cut, and 20% pat cut for those that remain.
