Ballots received by today and postmakrked on or before November 2, 2009 will be counted. Look for the Dimmicrats to challenge “validity” in the recount phase.
Yes, I read over 10,000 were sent out. Under 6,000 had been received as of late last week. I don’t recall the exact figure. How would anyone know what that figure would be? They would be arriving at little post offices all over the district. It must be an estimate. A vote postmarked Nov. 2 and received by today would count. I was surprised to hear Hoffman say “10,000 left to count.” Also, how could he be now 2000 votes behind if no counting of absentee ballots has started yet?
—Actually 10,000 were distributed...I believe the actual numbers of absentee which came back in was around 5800.
**I’d heard the same thing. However, Hoffman himself said there were 10000 left. Beck also mentioned that today is the deadline to receive military ballots. I’d doubt that they would have gotten 4200 more ballots after the last report, but Hoffman’s mentioning of 10000 surprised me.

Who gave the 5800 figure? Recall CNN (and Fox) declared Owens the winner even though there were more absentees than the then margin of victory.
How many times do we have to re-learn this lesson?
