The POTUS, bowing to a foreign leader? Barack Obama - and whoever is advising him - have taken the USA to a new depth of embarrassment. This incident, and Obama bowing to a Saudi Arabian dirtbag, tell me Obama is not American as the term is understood. Just like he is not “black” or “African-American” as those terms are understood.
I am starting to believe that Barack Obama is not an American; further, given his past actions and reactions to events (Ft Hood in particular), I believe he is a muslim. How else to explain his behaviors?

I have a simple question, is it normal protocol for a US president to bow to a sovereign like the Emperor of Japan and the Queen of England? I don’t ever seem to remember Bush/Clinton/Bush/Reagan ever bowing to ANY foreign leader.

The poor guys who died during the Bataan death march have stopped spinning in their graves. They’ve spun so much, because of this A@@HOLE who isn’t even a US citizen, they are in another graveyard!

I'm not sure I'd read too much into this one. Bowing in Japan is customary regardless of whether one is dealing with the emperor or a business associate (it's the Western equivalent of the handshake).
I'd be willing to bet that if you talk to people from the previous administration you'd learn of a few instances where George W. Bush bowed to his counterpart in Japan -- perhaps even that Koizumi guy with the wild hair who looked like a aging Japanese rock star.

Growing up in the 1950s all of our fathers were WWII veterans. A man down the street from us was a Bataan Death March survivor. He was a very quiet man, and was a terrific neighbor. He has since passed on (RIP, American Warrior!), but I can tell you he would be absolutely livid if he saw this disgraceful performance by a president of the United States.
