You know, he is getting better at this sort of thing. Practice makes perfect. This one has to go straight into the Obama Scrapbook section, "My Greatest Achievements."
While a normal, well-brought-up American knows that free men do not bow to monarchs, it is interesting to read Miss Manners on the subject of bowing to foreign monarchs, not that manners is what we expect to see in this case.
A slight bow would have been sufficient
as a sign of respect, one does not shake hands
and bow at the same time however.

There was some scuttle butt a few months ago comparing Bush’s bow during a Saudi ceremony to receive a medal and 0bama’s bow.

But really the only other time I can think of such a breach of protocal was with Carter, Russia, and the kiss.
Obama has taken America to new lows in so many ways.
He didn’t bow to the Queen, he patted her on the back. He only bowed to the Arabs.
Incidently, he can’t get low enough for some countries but has anyone else noticed he can’t speak to Americans without his nose on the air??
People need to realize that this President, wasn’t raised in the United States. He has no understanding of our history or respect for it.
I think someone told Obama this gentleman was a Marxist Dictator......

Obviously he was just practicing for “the big one” when he gets to Beijing.

That is the Japanese bow of submission to the Emperor from a commoner (if I’m not mistaken), plus the added submission of a handshake.
So now the US is not only submissive to Saudia Arabia, but Japan as well.
Except he will be bending over for another purpose :-)

Why is etiquette such a heinous affront? Compared to other things 0bummer doing, this is very bland gravy.
Let’s just continue calling him out for the REAL wrongs he’s committing.
Just like when he bowed to his Saudi master, the left will attempt to say “he did not bow”, he was checking out the guys new shoes.
I think what he said was, “How about I fetch my shoe shine box and take care of your shoes, sir.”
