Doctors enter as O-3’s (Captain in the Army). Since the douchebag was an O-4 (Major) he was promoted once.I understand that when you become a psychiatrist you are automatically promoted to major.

Thank you! I wonder when this happened...it sounds like he’s been pretty radical for a long time, although he may have been a little quieter about it when Bush was president.
