Listening to the debate on the floor today, it was clear that Democrats considered it a moral and ideological obligation to pass this billconsequences be damned. The leadership is congratulating itself nowPelosi is already the greatest speaker of all time apparentlybut there's a tough rough ahead in the Senate. Pelosi could lose 39 votes. Reid can't lose any. Passage in the House definitely creates more pressure on Reid to get it done, but the slender margindespite the size of the Democratic majority in the House and all the arm-twisting and deal-making (what did Cao get?)has to make Senate moderates even more nervous. There's a long string yet to be played out here, and it's still likely to stretch into next year, by which time Pelosis historic accomplishment of Nov. 7 may look foolish.

All that is required is 50%—voring against the incumbent (D) in enough Congressional districts to provide the needed vote margins in future Congresses. Given what's happening in the mood of the electorate, and how the situation is likely to evolve, that's a virtual certainly. You can take that to the bank.

I’m being practical. My eyes are opened.
We are a minority and when a minority imposes it’s will on the majority, the result is not democracy or freedom...even if it is done for their own good.
it’s late and I’m tired. Maybe I’ll see it different tomorrow.

None of them had a majority following.

Oh sure, majority doesn’t mean anything.
That’s what the dutch south african people used to say.

"But of course, the euphoria over getting free health care will need to wear off first."That's an interesting point. I wonder if (assuming this monstrosity comes to pass) perhaps the 'parasite class' might just swamp the system right off. Sort of a Cloward-Piven effect in reverse, or like the old saying..."put a beggar on a horse and he'll ride it to death."

No, I haven’t surrendered. The Republican Party surrendered long before this, led by the idiot Bush.
If you think voting out the Dems will somehow change this crap, you are delusional.

Thats what the dutch south african people used to say.Yeah, I'm sure the Russian people were all fired up to defend Stalin, right. It was a terror regime that kept them in line. That's what's coming here. Have you not even been following the Fort Hood story? Wake up!

“...or like the old saying...”put a beggar on a horse and he’ll ride it to death.”
Indeed, they’ll ride it to death all right. Unfortunately, it will be after all our economic deaths since were going to be picking up the tab. All I have to say is if the POSTUS, VP, and Congress aren’t forced into the very same plan, then we all just need to ignore it, period. Don’t sign up, hang up your phone if they call, don’t pay the fines...etc Let them arrest 100 million people.

We need to get clips of that debate. Specifically, I want the one that tells everyone that veterinarians get their loans forgiven. When asked what the hell this has to do with health care, the Democrat answered: EVER HEAR OF SWINE FLU? It was surreal. That should be our first commercial.WOW. I watched a lot of today's "debate" on the House floor. I missed that one...

Just like in the USSR, people will learn to hate this government even more and attempt to avoid and cheat it whenever possible. A government having half or more of its population feeling nothing but contempt for it will not endure, you can be assured.
The United States has come full circle. Having abolished a privileged class living off the production of others, this nation has re-established such a class, even anointing a new king in the process. This will not end well.

That might work :)
Yep. Something. I drives me almost to the point of puking how these asshats try to convince me that it is a grand day. They blow so much smoke up my ass my mouth tastes like an ashtray. Disdain and Contempt, that is all I feel for the current state of Congress and the President. I try to have some respect for the office itself but it has been so sullied lately, that I can't even do that.

The nutjob muslims are here to stay. They aren’t going anywhere. And they vote. that whackjob that shot the soldiers gets just as much say in government as you and I do. Well, after he gets convicted he won’t be voting anymore. But you can bet there will be lots of democrats that would like him to keep voting.
This is kind of my point...and it isn’t sinking into your skull. We are losing ground every year. We thought 8 years of bush was going to turn it all around. It didn’t.
