Pelosi has the votes
The Politico ^ | November 7, 2009 | Ben Smith

POLITICO reports:

Hours before an expected vote on a sweeping health care bill, House Democrats believe they've secured the 218 votes they need to approve the bill, several party insiders said.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi took to the House floor about 6:30 p.m. to say, “Today we will pass the Affordable Health Care for America Act.. . .We will make history. We will also make progress for America's working families."

Thirty-two Democrats have publicly declared their opposition to the bill, giving party leaders the narrowest possible margin to push the bill across the finish line. But numerous sources said Democrats believe they do have the votes after a day of intense lobbying of wavering Democrats.

I doubt that. The only “unrest” you will see is on the forums. People like to talk. Nobody wants to get arrested and do jail time over these idiots and what they decide. And thats how it should be. We all have families and violence shouldnt enter the picture.

I pray this is true. It’s high time we, the so-called silent majority made ourselves known and yes, vulnerable. We have to be willing to face the consequences of our unrest instead of hoping others will carry the banner for us.

I have made a vow to myself. Starting tomorrow, I will begin searching for local organizers who are willing to travel to D.C. and camp out on their front lawn. If there are no such local organizers, I vow to become one. Reason, righteousness, and God are on our side.

The CapnTax Bill is slightly less controversial than THIS POS and IT is all but dead in the Senate. Plus, Harry knows he doesn’t have all 60 votes for this radical Bill. Plus the fact that there are more procedures available to the minority in the Senate.

I am fairly confident that this Bill will never make it through the Senate, and even if it did it would be RADICALLY different from this Supreme Soviet takeover of healthcare.

But I would still have loved to enjoy my fantasy of seeing this thing lose tonight. 53% of the American people just were dumb enough to leave us in this situation where a Marxist President has a Marxist Congress. And that’s the way it is tonight. They will now lose control of the House in 2010 because of it, and Hopenchange will be shackled for the remainder of his terrible regime.

Who said anything about violence? Civil unrest doesn’t have to be violent — although when grievances are not redressed things like revolutions do happen.

Thats all very nice..but when they leave..they will leave us with this crap of a bill.

We didnt think it would make it tonight, with all of the tea parties, letters, calls, rallies, marches and the fact that two republicans won the election on tuesday. But, it passed.

Organization ? Who , what , when ?/this needs to be done . One central place to direct and organize is needed. There are 1000 tea party groups out there and other grass roots organizations holding separate meetings. We must all beunder one unbrella . That is the ONLY way to get millions there. rush or Levin , someone with nationally known credentials needs to put themselves on the line give up EVERYTHING to become a revolt leader. Screw the job and the time, we don’t stop them NOW we won’t have jobs or money . This is it folks..I SAY WAR !

It passed the House. It has not passed the Senate. It is not law, and even if it were law it wouldn’t pass constitutional muster. This is far from over.

In the interim, we need to be a constant pain in the a$$ to these a-holes.

The House passed the $1.2 trillion health care plan by a 220 to 215 vote. Thirty-nine Democrats voted against it, as did every Republican except for Joseph Cao of Louisiana.

For more information...http://www.politico.com

We just needed 5 more votes for freedom which shows we can win when the U.S. Senate votes (an easier win).

I haven’t seen anything here that calls for violence. Civil unrest is NOT violence, although it can certainly lead to that when grievances are not properly redressed.

Don’t get cocky my friend . You can count on 1 hand those in the Senate who can not be bought and bought cheaply.

I hope everyone here realizes that the US Government is acting exclusively in it’s own self interest and that we no long have a representative government WHAT SO EVER !
