Have at it. Storm their phone lines and e-mail boxes.
.
FINALLY!
BTTT!
It was a great day, and it felt good to confront our reps (at least our reps reps, since Babs and Cardin were MIA), but it was also discouraging to see it was totally "this-is-my-duty-since-I-work-here" attitude. They listen but do not hear.
Keep the faith. We cannot give up the fight.
Bump for later phone calling after work. Thanks for the heads-up; let’s all use it.
I know, we left DC at 5:00 pm and didn’t get home until 10:30pm.
We gave in and left the gridlock to get some dinner around 7:30
According to a reliable source, Frank Kratovil, Jr. (D-1st) from Maryland has said he is voting against Obamacare.
Jim, you may recall we visited his office last February with your friend and he assured us he was voting against Porkulus ... then he voted for it!
The info above came from that same friend. She said he assured her he was voting against Obamacare, but we already know HE LIES!
CALL...CALL...CALL!
Thanks for being there and for this list, Justa. Will do!
Called “Kratovil, MD (202) 225-5311 http://kratovil.house.gov" yesterday after the switchboard cleared. His office says the Congressman is against the bill and will vote no. Told him I would check on Monday but I hoped he would not change his mind.
PING!
I love this country!
I love all the Freeper Patriots!!
God save our nation!
Fox News reported this morning the vote would be Sunday.
Also, what about the scheduling for the vote on 6 PM Saturday? Pelosi most be hoping to catch some of the nays out of town over the weekend.
you guys: you have to know that the Napa Tea Party is one of the best in the country!
(we have been chosen to host the SAVE the FARMERS rally on Sept 21 AND,..we have the right to show the new REAL movie: Tea Party, the Movie........more on that later, i will post it all on the website asap)
I am so proud of us.......I heard the real representatives talk to us yesterday and they assured us that even though Washington seems 'not' to be listening.....they DO HEAR US!
KEEP IT UP........FIGHT ON......TOGETHER WE ARE STRONG.
Jeff and I realized that this is a battle we are in, it is as if there is a fight between good and evil going on.
I don't know how many thousands of patriots poured into the city....the cab driver said 250,000 but, I don't have a way to tell. I do know that the lawn in front of the Capitol steps was FULL, and the side lawns as well, all packed.
Then the amazing thing, people began to go and VISIT the halls of Congress, the offices of their representatives. The lines of people going into each office was unreal, some went out the doors, down the steps, down the street etc.............they all waited, once inside....it was wild!! Jeff and I had an appt with Thompsons office at 2pm.....(Nancy Pelosi's office being right down the hall) ...this building was on FIRE..
the sound level was numbing......Thompsons reps looked at each other, as if: 'what is happening?'.............we were in the building when the priest started ripping up the copy of the 'bill' and throwing it in Pelosi's office etc.............the halls were lined with chatting patriots, saying: 'Kill the BILL".............I was so proud of America. Twelve pro lifers got arrested for chatting: murderer, murderer, in front of Pelosi's office.(it was very loud)
Being in DC just made me even more determined to fight for honesty and common sense to come into Washington and rid us of the viral ugly evil that is currently in charge.
Together we can do it!........I will post photos later..
love you all!...........we are making a HUGE difference.........stay loud and proud!

The other is Dale Kildee(D)...who has on his website has a Health Care Survey ...that(along with him)...."may need a little help"
..LET'S GET'ER DONE!
Health Care Update
November 5, 2009
As you know, the issue of health care reform is being hotly debated in the halls of Congress and throughout America. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is bringing the latest version of the health care bill to the floor of the House of Representatives this week. At more than $1 trillion and nearly 2,000 pages, H.R. 3962 is considered by many to be the antithesis of patient-centered reforms that would empower Americans to own and control their health coverage. This bill has the potential to limit choices, competition, and the possibilities for innovation. Conversely, I support health care reform that will ensure that America remains competitive in the 21st Century by making our system more portable, affordable, sustainable, effective and innovative.
I will be making my concerns known today, November 5 at noon on the West Front steps of the U.S. Capitol (House side), where I will join my Republican colleagues, as well as Americans from across the nation, for a House Call on Washington.
Given the significant changes to our health care system which would take place if this piece of legislation is enacted, I want to ensure that you have access to a copy of this bill, as well as the summary and report of H.R. 3962 compiled by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), and a reading guide to the legislation.
The text of H.R. 3962 - Affordable Health Care for America Act as introduced can be found here: http://docs.house.gov/rules/health/111_ahcaa.pdf
The CBO Report of H.R. 3962 can be found here: http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/106xx/doc10688/hr3962Rangel.pdf
I would also like to point out some sections that I thought you might find of particular interest, as noted by this reading guide:
Page 94Section 202(c) prohibits the sale of private individual health insurance policies, beginning in 2013, forcing individuals to purchase coverage through the federal government
Page 110Section 222(e) requires the use of federal dollars to fund abortions through the government-run health planand, if the Hyde Amendment were ever not renewed, would require the plan to fund elective abortions
Page 111Section 223 establishes a new board of federal bureaucrats (the Health Benefits Advisory Committee) to dictate the health plans that all individuals must purchaseand would likely require all Americans to subsidize and purchase plans that cover any abortion
Page 211Section 321 establishes a new government-run health plan that, according to non-partisan actuaries at the Lewin Group, would cause as many as 114 million Americans to lose their existing coverage
Page 225Section 330 permitsbut does not requireMembers of Congress to enroll in government-run health care
Page 255Section 345 includes language requiring verification of income for individuals wishing to receive federal health care subsidies under the billwhile the bill includes a requirement for applicants to verify their citizenship, it does not include a similar requirement to verify applicants identity, thus encouraging identity fraud for undocumented immigrants and others wishing to receive taxpayer-subsidized health benefits
Page 297 - Section 501 imposes a 2.5 percent tax on all individuals who do not purchase bureaucrat-approved health insurance - the tax would apply on individuals with incomes under $250,000
Page 313Section 512 imposes an 8 percent tax on jobs for firms that cannot afford to purchase bureaucrat-approved health coverage; according to an analysis by Harvard Professor Kate Baicker, such a tax would place millions at substantial risk of unemploymentwith minority workers losing their jobs at twice the rate of their white counterparts
Page 336Section 551 imposes additional job-killing taxes, in the form of a half-trillion dollar surcharge, more than half of which will hit small businesses; according to a model developed by President Obamas senior economic advisor, such taxes could cost up to 5.5 million jobs
Page 520Section 1161 cuts more than $150 billion from Medicare Advantage plans, potentially jeopardizing millions of seniors existing coverage
Page 733Section 1401 establishes a new Center for Comparative Effectiveness Research; the bill includes no provisions preventing the government-run health plan from using such research to deny access to life-saving treatments on cost grounds, similar to Britains National Health Service, which denies patient treatments costing more than £35,000
Page 1174 - Section 1802(b) includes provisions entitled TAXES ON CERTAIN INSURANCE POLICIES to fund comparative effectiveness research, breaking Speaker Pelosis promise that We will not be taxing [health] benefits in any bill that passes the House.
