And back then there was very low tolerance for Fifth-column groups like communists and their liberal buddies - even though they were infiltrating us - there was not the open support in the Democrat party that they enjoy now.
There were in fact Japanese “loyalists” sending intelligence reports (i.e., Pearl Harbor) to embassy spies overseas as well - hence the roundup and internment of Japanese.
That worked when this was a majority white country (90+%) back then, with tightly-controlled immigration and checks on those coiming in to the country, and an assimilation time for those already here to become Americanized.
Not so much now. And we’re weaker for it, and this is just more proof. We’ve been brainwashed into the whole “multiculural” and “diversity” crap, and all it is doing is getting people killed.
