November and winter is now upon us and it is almost frightening to realise it is almost a year ago that the election was held that made us realise that the previous 8 years of President George W Bush time as President was drawing to an end.
Even though it has been about 9 months since George W Bush left office for many it seems another age so much seems to have changed and many things we hold dear now seem to mean nothing.
We miss the class and character that George W Bush, his wife and of course his father and mother portrayed to the American nation and the world.
I hope the following photos will help us remember time of maybe great sadness and challenge for the nation but also a feeling that there was somebody at the helm that was strong, confident and above all put his love for his country and fellow men first and always did and said what he believed to be the right thing to do.

This is a very heartwarming blog post. In some ways I hope that your sentiments are echoed across the USA.
Even though I was not a Bush fan, I never lampooned him, and I cringed when I saw what was written about him.
The meme about his intelligence is truly insulting since George Bush has an MBA, which he had the intellectual acumen to obtain that higher degree, unlike the present man in the White House who will not divulge his college records. (BTW I am degree qualified). As far as getting a degree is concerned, to be honest I do not think it is a true measure of intelligence, and it is definitely not a measure of wisdom.
Your POTUS might have a law degree from Harvard and he might have got a degree from Columbia, even though people from his college year do not remember him, but he lacks the wisdom to be a leader of the country.
As an outsider I found George to be a man of conviction and he certainly showed passion when it was necessary. The present POTUS comes across as a cold fish, and a very glib speaker. The problem with that particular style is that this form of charisma is exactly what caused people to be attracted to Adolf Hitler.
When I was recently in the USA I met some really wonderful people. What I did notice though, it was the middle aged women who had stars shining in their eyes where the present POTUS is concerned. They were very good at repeating the meme about cleaning up the mess. Yet, did they really understand that it is not the President who makes all of those policies but the Congress, and the Congress had been in Democrat hands since 2006 when the economy started to go really bad. Did they know that the present POTUS refused to pass reforms that would have made sure that the housing bubble and the crisis that followed was only a blip rather than a full blown disaster? Did they know that the present POTUS actually lobbied for the very reforms that he then blamed on the insurance companies for they way that they packaged the mortgages? Probably not, they just go along with whatever they see on CNN
Do not worry, here in Australia there are many going through the same kind of buyers remorse since we are also stuck with the egotistical and narcissistic Kevin Rudd as Prime Minister who is just as bad as the POTUS.
Now I gotta wait another hour. Think we'll see DrDeb??
I did the same thing. LOL!
I am SO glad DrDeb posted the link to that Hillbuzz article this morning. I read that last night and got tears in my eyes. I am so grateful that finally some people are seeing what we knew all along.
Off to get some work done until 3PM (2 PM Central).
And you're MOST welcome for the Tribute. I hope a good number of people saw it. There weren't many responses, I think in part because the terrorist attack at Ft. Hood happened on their anniversary. Horrible.
Thanks for going to DC for us! God bless you, Just A Nobody! You are a patriot and a friend!
Gotta get the DVR running for that!
I am truly praying that more and more Americans are waking up to the horrible deceit and ugliness of what the media/left did to President Bush.
That apology was a huge step in the right direction.
Just tuned in ... feels just like the old times ..
our President. snifff ..
Who was the frst scholar he announced?
