The way for ACORN and the Dims to cheat this thing is to count/re-count most all the worthless Scuzzywuzzy votes that come in as being for Owens. It’s a variation on getting the dead to turn out for you.

“In a three way contest Doug Hoffman leads Bill Owens by 19 points. In a two way contest Hoffman leads Owens by 15 points. So the Dede Scozzafava withdrawal and endorsement will probably tighten the race some but not nearly enough.”

Pretty telling that the Republican dropping out gives more points to the Dem. There's not much difference between the 2, obviously.

There will still be alot of votes already cast for Dede unless they can go in tommorrow or Tuesday and cancel their absentee vote that has already been cast since she was polling in the high teens and even up to 30% when absentee voting started.

She could still end up with low teens in voting so 45% looks pretty good.

One showing Owens and Dede with British crowns on their heads, calling them “picked by party bosses” and then Hoffman called a candidate “of the people.”

That's excellent. Right to the point.

The PPP poll is in: Hoffman is over 50% (and leading Owens by 15%) even when voters are informed that Scozzafava endorsed Owens. It’s not quite time for Red to light his cigar, but he’s getting the lighter out of his pocket.

Here’s the poll: http://publicpolicypolling.blogspot.com/2009/11/hoffman-leads-big.html

I agree, one of the 3rd parties in New York provided their line to him. Without that this would not have been much more difficult with a write-in candidacy.

It sure helps the Conservative party move into the big time as well.

I am wondering what their plans are—to become a national party? Time will tell. I’m not sure they have time to get ballot access in other states before the 2010 elections.

I hope so. We desperately need a strong 3rd party. I've given up on the GOP ever returning to it's roots.

Looks like if Dede wanted to help her fellow rat Owens she should have stayed in.

Oh man victory would be sweet here. I can’t wait to read the DNC spin.

Yes, Ft. Drum is in this district. Hoffman is an Army Vetran. Check out this link to see what is going on now in this race. http://www.tcotreport.com/

Judd Gregg almost fell for it. Fortunately, the Obama administration showed their cards too early by announcing moving the Census from Commerce to the White House before Gregg had his confirmation hearings, and he wisely backed out.

Great point!

This administration wants to load liberals into certain seats where they can be used as examples of Obama's coat-tails.

Yeah, I was down there in May of this year for my grandaughters’ birthday. I drove down so I could see the countryside as I had never been there before. I understand why you retired there. Beautiful country!

I like Tim Pawlenty more everyday, in spite of the constant attacks of him here on FR.

They will be using brand new voting machines for the first time in most of the district. Here is a link regarding this

This has me nervous as heck...remember Franken and Coleman?
Please have as many poll watchers as humanly possible.

Assuming Hoffman wins, will he continue to serve under the “Conservative” party label, or will he “officially” switch back to Republican once in Congress? Since the Conservative party is a NY-only party, and he was a Pub anyway...just curious.

We are down to the Battle of Little Round Top at Gettysburg here, folks. This is really pivotal. A LOT rides on this over the next 36 hours.

Everyone. Eagles Up! Do ANYTHING that you can do in the next day. Outside of the Free Republic Bubble, talking just to ourselves, preaching just to the choir.

Be proactive and find a way to help in the NY-23rd, even if you are miles and states away form this election district—you can do so by phone and fax and e mail. The Obama White House has thrown down the gauntlet. They cannot suffer a MASSIVE OBAMA PR LOSS if this district goes to Conservative Doug Hoffman.

Crunch time, folks.

If that does indeed happen, we need to rub the RNC's nose in it big time and follow with some genuine conservative challengers in Pubbie primaries with incumbent RINOs.

I think it would do a lot of good for the Tea Party movement to go for primary challenges to the 10 Republican congressmen and 2 Senators with the worst ACU ratings. Every election season.

I pick those numbers so that all the conservatives in the country could focus on a small number of RINOs, rather than having our efforts dispersed over a large number of races.
