"Today, I again seek to act for the good of our community,"
"It is increasingly clear that pressure is mounting on many of my supporters to shift their support. Consequently, I hereby release those individuals who have endorsed and supported my campaign to transfer their support as they see fit to do so. I am and have always been a proud Republican. It is my hope that with my actions today, my party will emerge stronger and our district and our nation can take an important step towards restoring the enduring strength and economic prosperity that has defined us for generations."
Many people don't understand that system in NY, especially those who come from states where it differs a lot. They fail to understand that a candidate may be endorsed on more than one line.
Methinks Scozzabean is looking to the future knowing she can’t win now. If she appears to ‘do the honorable thing’ with bowing out then she may have favor in a future race plus she will not be tagged with the loss in the election.
I bet she is pulling for Owens since she can have another chance in 2010 if Hoffman (God forbid) loses!
If we don’t wake up to voter fraud we are finished. Look at Minn. and multiply by 50!
Great post!
Turnout.... huge turnout needed for conservatives of NY-23 to counter the dirty, cheating tricks of the DemRats!
Yes, for example it appears that Dede was on at least the Republican, WFP and Conservative lines in 2004 and 2006.
...In Name Only!
That picture represents the actuality of politics in Washington, D.C.
I live in California. I have seen the RP leadership in my state betray Conservatism for a long time.
We get a guy past the primary, and if he’s a Conservative, that’s the end of it. The RP leadership vanishes, taking their pocket book with them.
There’s no question that the party believes to it’s core that liberalism is the way to go. I say this because with only a little bit of support, some of the people running for governor in our state would have won.
On a shoe string budget, they came close.
Look at the things the RP Leadership signs on to.
They allow open elections so that Democrats help elect our nominee. If that isn’t a bow to the Democrats and allowing them to set our agenda, I don’t know what is.
This endorsement of Skuzzy is just more of the same.
I am so fed up with this bunch.
I appreciate the reply. I do understand your point, but if this party’s leadership isn’t going to lead, then what good are they? Why is it we have to lead them kicking and screaming back to Conservatism.
We live in an atmosphere (in the RP) where Newt can say that Reaganism is dead. If he can say that and not have his head lopped of by the leadership, then there is no leadership.
How do they expect Conservatism to grow as a party, if they never advocate it’s tenets to the public, or even political players that uphold those tenets?
Yes, but that would be the same technicality you could say for Lieberman in Connecticut.
Both ran for their party in the primaries, but switched in the general.

And then Newt steps up to lift a jib and tack his way down wind, on a vessel that was already going the race.
(crickets)
I can't write in Paul Maroun (the conservative republican) because I don't live in the district. Neither does Hoffman, BTW.
Your lighters?
You need rest.
I think they are starting to hear us... time to turn up the volume !
ROFL!
WOOT great day for liberty
which is fine with me.
Another RINO “Newt-ralized”. Conservatism is on the ascendancy. Let’s hope it is not too late.
