Marriott Boycotted Over Porn

Go figure -- even the porn proponents are boycotting porn-industry Marriott!!!

Mitt Romney left the Marriott Board while he was campaigning, but then returned.

According to a press release of this protest -- MormonMarriott’sMoral Masquerade:HotelChainProfitsoffofUnsafePornSaysAHF :

9:15pm—Press Availability and ‘PORN IN’ (Penthouse Suite #1427) Officials from AHF and Pink Cross Foundation will speak to the media while a ‘porn in’ showing the Marriott’s unsafe porn (films without condom use) will stream on the hotel room television in the background

So they showed actual porn films that the Marriott, as an active business w/in the porn industry, profiteers off?

It's very ironic they are protesting at the LA Marriott, when the very “content” they are protesting is being filmed a few miles north in Porn Valley. I guess they wouldn't attract as much media up there.

The Ventura Beach Marriott doesn’t offer any adult movies.

Apparently the owners (some are franchised, some are owned) are rather devout.

But they do offer HBO, so it isn’t all that bad.

I don’t bother with those movies anyway — after 10 or 15 seconds the titillation wears off and it is just boring and a bit sad.

It’s amazing isn’t it? These people aren’t upset about poornography as such, and they are not really upset about hotels showing it. They are upset that a hotel would show it without use of condoms.

So if the hotel showed this with the use of condoms, then everything would be ok.

Actually it has been better. You don’t need porn in your hotel room...just take the laptop. /sarc. I think the country is the same as twenty years ago. I think the worst time in America was the 50’s only because of the sneaky ways that husbands bashed their wives heads in...people were molesting children...alcoholism was hidden...drugs were hidden...etc. Nothing is good in putting your head in the sand.

Respectfully disagree. I grew up in the 50s and 60s and society was much better and more civil then. People could walk the street without fear and we never locked our doors at night. Criminals generally stayed under the rocks.
