One year ago, Sarah Palin burst onto the national political stage like a comet. Yet even now, few Americans know who this remarkable woman really is.
On September 3, 2008 Alaska Governor and vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin delivered a speech at the Republican National Convention that electrified the nation and instantly made her one of the most recognizable women in the world.

Walmarts is getting in a price war with Amazon for online book sales, one lowers their price and the other matches. Great news for those of us on a budget.

Why so cheap? Come on.
I just took this opportunity to buy a couple of copies for our school library (private school).
I want this book (and other conservative books) to blow away the libs.
Nevermind. I clicked the link.
$9 and free shipping at Walmart
Taking a page from Glenn Beck. Price it so everyone can afford it. If you want to pay $27, then buy three of them! ;-)
Hmmm... Kind of shows you what the markup is on the hardcovers I guess unless they overprinted or something.
For $9 I will buy a hardcover, since things have slowed up I usually wait to buy paperback now.
How much profit does this take away from Governor Palin?
Will it be worth reading, even though it was ghost-written? One of the things people like about Sarah Palin is her OWN voice. A ghost-written book is not going to sound like her. At least she’s honest about using a ghost-writer, unlike Zero.
I just bought four books, and three Mark Levin books. They are going to be presents.
You can always send her the $18 you save. But I think she gains, as she sells more books.
That's the problem with the "pre-order" scam.
Just meant it makes it look like one of those bargain bin books. Like no one would buy it if it were priced higher.
Sarah Palin keeps a journal, and I have heard that the journal was important in writing the book. I am not sure how much a ghost writer does. Do ghost writers write the entire book or do ghost writers edit the work of the author? Does one author’s ghost writer do as much work as another author’s ghost writer? Was Bill Clinton as active in his book as Sarah was in her book?
I don’t think it takes anything away from Palin, but it does cut the profit margin for the stores, which they will make up by selling massive numbers of copies.
That all depends, some ghost writers like Ted Sorensen wrote Profiles in Courage for Kennedy with little input by Kennedy. Bill Clinton worked with his co-writer for 2.5 years on My Life, but only Bill’s name appeared as author. Hillary’s co-writer got no up front credit, and in the end went public and sued Hillary for something like $30,000 that Hillary hadn’t paid her.
Most politicians, actors, sports figures, etc., have the services of a ghost, but few will admit it. 0bama claims to have personally written both his books, but if you read them you can tell that 2 different people wrote them, because the sentence structure, and everything is very different.
