He’s like the borg!
They are saying Rush is “divisive” as an investor. What about Soros?
What was Soros doing in on this deal? Isn’t he a convicted felon in France? Why isn’t he a convicted felon in the US?
Interesting comments on Hewitt’s show about libel laws being far stricter in Canada and UK........CNN could easily get sued in those countries for broadcasting lies that were widely known (by anyone with a serious claim to fact-checking) to be lies.
All the money and fame, but can't own his team. He grew up in the St. Louis area too.

I have no doubt this was a set up, but I have to wonder who was being set up. Could be Rush was not the original target and in the end was collateral damage. I just can’t see anyone taking on Rush with so obvious a set up.
Something obviously changed between the original contact on the golf course, the meeting at his house and last Friday. Sounds like someone got caught in the middle!

Imho, Mr. Limbaugh should purchase a brand new, top of the line technology, secure, etc. communications satellite, and put it into orbit. In the comings months, given our current government, it would be a better investment than the Rams.
Disclaimer: No offense intended towards the Rams, their fans and owners. And no person or animal was harmed in the making of this post.

I have watched NFL football since I was about 10 years old--I'm in my 4th decade...but frankly, I don't give a damn about it after this high tech lynching.
I'm done buying their shirts, watching their games, NFL Sunday ticket (though I didn't buy it this year, I did buy it three years in a row; finances wouldn't permit this time 'round! But even once things do turn around, I'm not interested.)...
So I don't know how many people are really serious about leaving the game to its own perverted devices, but I am. They can recruit someone else with my income to buy into their crap.
I may even go so far as to ask about NFL sponsors and purposely not buy their stuff...probably not, 'cause I'm a NASCAR fan, too, and there probably is a lot of bleedover.
But the National Football League can cram it up sideways--this fan is gone.

LOS ANGELES — Former New York sports executive David Checketts has assembled part of the financing for his $620-million bid to buy the Dodgers, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The paper reported Monday that Checketts has gained a commitment from billionaire financier George Soros, who has agreed to put up less than $100-million in equity in what would be his first investment in a sports franchise.
The Los Angeles Times also said Checketts has lined up two banks and is seeking a third to secure financing of $300 million. The newspaper reported the banks are J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and FleetBoston Financial Corp.

I would not be surprised in the least. Rush needs to go for their throats and make them sorry financally and then demand very public apologies from everyone! Hopefully he’d end up with enough to outright buy the Steelers himself if they ever come up for sale. :)
Checketts and Soros were one of the groups bidding on the Washington Nationals MLB franchise when it was for sale in 2005.
The Republicans in Congress, when they got word that Soros was one of the investors told MLB corporate that, if Soros becomes a part owner of the Washington Nationals, you can kiss your anti-trust exemption goodbye.
The Washington Nationals were sold to the Lehrner family shortly thereafter.
Checketts and Soros have been affilitated with each other for a while now.
it’s very possible this was a deliberate diversion to take that much time away from Rush discussing the really important issues.
Of course then there’s the other question: how come Rush was willing to get in a deal with Soros?
