Tony Harnden has an excellent column that appears in the Telegraph on the effort to smear Rush Limbaugh. Even for the Left, this is quite extraordinary. Its not simply a matter of taking quotes out of context; its a matter of making up quotes out of whole cloth to cast Limbaugh as a racist and then placing those quotes on Wikipedia, considered the gospel truth, and spreading them on the Internet and various television news outlets... "We are in the process, behind the scenes, working to get apologies and retractions, with the force of legal action, against every journalist who has published these entirely fabricated quotes about me, slavery, and James Earl Ray. I never said them."
“We are in the process, behind the scenes, working to get apologies and retractions, with the force of legal action, against every journalist who has published these entirely fabricated quotes about me, slavery, and James Earl Ray. I never said them.”
That makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!
Rush mentioned Matthews several times on his show yesterday and I believe that he fully intends to pursue all who are involved in making this sh$t up.
“Boo Hoo Hoo. Let rush get off his fat arse and fight the lies. In typical fashion he will let his listeners do his fighting. He may not know it but he is doing a bush redux. The distortions will stand as fact. He easily could have forced an apology from Sanchez and Cnn.”
B.S. Rush has gone after the liars. He has intimated that lawsuits are pending. What do you want him to do, buy primetime adspace on all the networks.
By the way, I used to be frustrated with how weakly Bush responded to his critics. But more and more, I’ve become enamored of his style. Certainly, I’d rather not see the president whine about naughty networks that don’t report the way he wants them too. Of course, in Obama’s case, it’s one, lonely little network, whereas with Bush it was a gaggle the size of China constantly nipping at his heels.
Still, he could always get lower officials, from the Veep to the local Republican spinster, to do his dirty work for him.
There is an old saying: “Those who know do not speak. Those who speak do not know.” More people should follow that advice...
Your ignorance is showing. Rush has talked at length about matthews’ violent remarks, and Huffpost is saying it will retract its smears. I sincerely hope other legal actions are in the works. Sueing that hit and run killer Sanchez would be a good start, if only to publicize what kind of people CNN employs.
Hey Einstein, first of all, how the hell do you know what Rush is doing?
Second, it's none of your business.
Third, when you can get 20,000,000 people to listen to you three hours a day, get back to us with your opinions.
Don’t wait for Rush....we have depended on him too long, when a warrior is felled..we help him off the field, and get going, we continue on.
SWARM THEM!

I think that’d be good for the country.
However, today I heard him saying he was going to “take the high road.” IOW, roll over. Take it. Let them get away with it, yet again.
I didn’t listen today. I agree, Bush never fighting back was very troublesome and stupid on his part.
He needs to sue them and force an out of court monetary settlement.
If you are upset about reverse racism in commercials, PMSNBC's Keith Olberman's behavior on Sunday Night Football and Rush's elimination from the consortium buying the SL Rams, FReep away people.
It's 1-847-286-2500 These people have the power to turn off the monetary spigot to NBC and Olberman. FReep away people
I call BS!
You haven’t been a listener since the 80’s, or you would know he fights his own battles. The Reid letter is but one of a score of examples.
The retraction by those should be by phone on Rush's show and on the media they work with.
The one thing I have no respect for is cowards.
Wikipedia loses credibility by the hour.
