(CNN) – Meghan McCain says she's ready to quit Twitter all together after generating a wave of criticism from users of the popular social networking site Wednesday night for posting a picture of herself in a tank top that left little to the twitterverse's imagination.
The controversy began quietly enough when McCain, the vocal daughter of the former Republican presidential candidate, tweeted that her self described "spontaneous" night in included reading a biography of the iconic artist Andy Warhol and ordering takeout.
It was there the 24-year old McCain posted the photo of herself wearing a tank top that generated the subsequent controversy .

I think it’s pretty obvious that she is following the Paris Hilton MO to fame and fortune. It’s all about her.

I have a daughter a few years younger than Ms. McCain. I have never been ashamed of my daughter's clothes or her demeanor. She conducts herself like an adult.
If I was Meghan McCain's mom, we'd be having a serious talk about her need to expose herself to the world just about now.
The Andy Warhol book (or whatever)? She would do well to recall his famous words: In the future everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes. Her time has to be nearly up.

Is this really the image John McCain wants of his daughter? She knew what she was doing, her cleavage is front and center and she looks like a porn actress.
Some people identify “curves” as one big sweeping football shaped curve from the knees to the head.
That is not a good curve.

I don’t know, I don’t hear that one as often. It does bother me that the standard for some women seems to be tightness and muscle tone. As if the feminine ideal were to be a 14 year old boy. I much prefer buxom.

I was just being a wise-ass with the laboratories comment, but I think you’re on to something - there is a Natural Selection-type of appeal to it. Huh!
