Maybe West Point should allow this honorable student in, too.

If his other qualifications are equal to his competitors, I agree absolutely.

Based upon the press this story is getting, I can imagine (again, no evidence whatsoever) that some member on the committee may streamline his application through the system.

If we were on that board, isn't that what we would do? Heck, I could probably be persuaded to over-look a couple bad grades - as this person not only demonstrated a committment to live honorably, but by keeping the survival pack he demonstrated that he 'lives' what he was taught. That trait would be something I would think would be of value to West Point.
