Goodell lowered himself and entered the disgusting fray of faux-orthodoxy against Rush Limbaugh in his bid to become a part owner of the NFLs St. Louis Rams. He attacked Limbaugh as divisive and publicly opposed his NFL ambitions. So did Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay. Limbaugh may very well soon own part of the Rams. And Goodell will have to eat crow and work with the ownership team of which hes a part. This was a boneheaded move and not at all professional. Goodell reduced himself to a nobody by publicly denouncing Limbaugh. These people sound like Politburo members, not gazillionaire owners and executives of a major American sports monopoly.

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find only things evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelogus
And their application of it to deny him an ownership before he gets it shows “malicous intent”.
They are deadmeat.
Two words: Card check.
By ‘divisive’ do they mean packing up a beloved NFL team’s gear in moving vans and skipping town under cover of dark and snow?
I don’t think he would call for a boycott....being the great Steelers fan and all. It is something he and I both can related to. As one user posts,
“It’s a ‘Burgh Thing!”
Who did he play for and when? /sarc
Well if that is so, NFL, off to the college football games I go!
Too late: I quit long ago. I love Football and now only watch college games. . . . .
“In selecting Smith this year, the union chose Washington smarts over football experience. Smith, a Washington lawyer, served on the Obama transition team and also worked for Eric Holder before Holder became attorney general.”
Ah, another unbiased, non-political Obamabot! I guess Goodell is at least giving the impression that he is sympathetic to the liberal view of this issue. After all, he grew up in lily white Bronxville, NY as the son of a Republican US Senator and is married to FOX News anchor Jane Skinner. I would love to hear their dinner table conversation tonight.
Works for me!!
One forgets that conservatives make up the bulk of this country, not liberals.
I would bet much more than half the football audience is conservative leaning. It’s too violent for most libs, but they probably like the butt smacking so I don’t know.
I got unaddicted back when the NFLPA went on strike.
However, I still support NASCAR. NASCAR drivers have never gone on strike and their fan support, IMO, exceeds that of the NFL.
If Rush fails to get this conservatives should STOP watching NFL games.
Works for me!!
I can’t. The Colts are having too good of a season, and their very owner has stuck his greasy-haired face right in the middle of it.
This sucks. It was such a good early season....
They are both hypocrites.

Then you support all of this anti-Rush malarkey!
There's a big difference beween "can't" and "won't". Only one of those words puts you in control of your own actions.
I can certainly live without the NFL, especially when there are twenty good college games Thursday through Saturday.
He should also ask: Is it true the Irsay’s moved the Colts to lily white Indiana because Baltimore was getting “too black”, as some suggested?
