Today, the Washington Post published a long profile of Orly Taitz. This is the nut job that's leading the birther movement. Taitz helms a very leaky swift boat. We should be forgetting her right about now.
Taitz was news or newsy this past summer. But why do we need a big story on her in October? Her power is only derived from free media attention. Did I mention that she's a nutjob?
A quick Nexis check reveals that Taitz has been mentioned, chronicled, and/or written about more than 400 times before WaPo decided to profile her. Other newspapers wrote about her more than 150 times. I'm not even going to delve into the number of blog items on this crazy. Let's just say she is very old news.
Meanwhile, there are far more powerful crazies that are worth the Post's attention like Sen. Jim DeMint and his travels to Honduras to support the military coup. The Post has devoted 556 words from one staff writer to the DeMint story.
Why bother with Ms. Taitz when the Daily Show got to her in July?
The last two pleadings I read were a great improvement, so I suspect he wrote them. But have yo seen the ones where she compares Judge Land to the southern judges of the Old South? most of her stuff is bizarre.
parsy, who kinda likes bizarre
You can’t have worked much in court nor read many court briefs. you are a joke.
If you had worked in court any lenght of time, you would know that lawyers write badly and make mistakes. courts don’t even really care these days. Your credibility is therefore very, very suspicious.
The fact is you have never seen a court doc or not many. You are a shill.
"Swift boating" is a leftist term for telling the embarrassing truth in the face of a hostile press and a pathologically dishonest Marxist opposition.
Go Orly!
I generally ignore the birther threads so it is no surprise that I am not familiar with her.
OMG, she’s hilarious. I was trying to find the pleading where she cited an AOL poll, but couldn’t. Here is her response to a show cause order:
parsy, who thinks this was written by her assistant and is better than Orly’s usual stuff
Do tell. How have you kept your status as a shill secret for sooooooo many years on FR? That’s simply amazing. /s
And who exactly am I shilling for?
I’m a shill because I am not an Orly Taitz fan?
Oh, really. And your expertise in these matters is...?
You could draw a parallel with the whole birth certificate question. It should have been dealt with during the campaign. That it wasn't doesn't mean it should just go away.
However much or little there is in it, the media shouldn't be able to simply dismiss matters it avoided talking about earlier by simply saying, "That's old news."
Apparently GilGil thinks so. A 1998 FReeper being a shill? Things that make you go - huh?
:)
LOL. And I was a lurker for a year before that!
He probably stole my technique.
Many similarities! Judge Land owns some Comcast and Microsoft stock you know.
parsy, who is afraid the Liberals will put her on TV more
To have a judge like judge Carter even give a damn and give Orly the time of day is one in a million and says a lot about this judge. I have tremendous admiration for Orly and the judge. They show amazing humanity.
There is a lot more I could add but don’t make me laugh when you are insensed that Orly forgot to sign her doc or amde a spelling mistake. No one cares in court nor is it a problem.
