ST. LOUIS (AP)Green Bay Packers fans are known as cheeseheads. Could fans of the St. Louis Rams soon be dittoheads?
Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said Tuesday he is teaming up with St. Louis Blues owner Dave Checketts in a bid to buy the Rams, owners of the NFLs longest losing streak at 14 and just 5-31 since 2007.
In a statement, Limbaugh declined to discuss details, citing a confidentiality agreement with Goldman Sachs, the investment firm hired by the family of former Rams owner Georgia Frontiere to review assets of her estate, including the NFL team.
Limbaugh also declined to discuss other partners that might be involved in the bid, but said he and Checketts would operate the team.

Well at least they would then be owned by an American man not a China man.

It would be sort of sad to see the 49ers beat Rush’s team like a drum twice a year.

They will have to change the name to the St. Louis Rush

Los Angeles is still without a team, and a loophole in the Rams lease allows them to move as early as 2014 if the Edward Jones Dome is not deemed among the top quarter of all NFL stadiums. Though just 14 years old, the dome is fast becoming one of the leagues older venues, and getting it into the top quarter seems unlikely.YES. This would be better than sending Bret Favre back to Green Bay. Get my LA Rams back where they belong. And get them winning again.

I’m a big fan of Rush and part of me hopes he does this, but if he does, stand by for the snarkiness of the mediocre. The difference between us as conservatives and liberals is that liberals view liberalism as a religion it’s so very tied to their identity.
We conservatives wouldn’t go on a non-stop whinefest if Michael Moore bought an NFL, so why is the left so hyper-intolerant???
Restaurants, if they have a TV on, need to keep it tuned in to something very banal like ESPN or CNN - if it’s on Fox New or something substantive then the liberals will throw salt shakers at the TV screen and assault the greeting girls at the front door on the way out.
The left is hyper-intolerant.

I have a soft spot for the Rams as one of the few teams that manage to make my beloved Chiefs look good.
To: Man50D
Well it’s not as if the Rams would ever play the Steelers in the Super Bowl.
Oh, wait ...
To: mainepatsfan
The Rams have a shot at matching the Lions 0-16 mark of last year.
Not a chance, this record is part of the Lions curse. The Rams will come up short and win one.......

You mean to tell me there is a team out there worse than the Chiefs? Who knew!

"Rush is a Packers fan?"
You obviously got tripped up on the part about the greatest football team in the NFL. I'll just say six super bowl trophies baby!!!! I think they are also the only team to be handed one by all three commisioners.
It's funny you mention the Packers because they are my favorite team in the NFC. I thought Brett had been screwing them over since about 2006. Will I retire, will I not. Should I stay or should I go. Sounds like a Clash song. I hated to see the Minnesota Bret Favre's beat the Pack last night.

I dont see the League allowing it. There will be protests if they think about it.Heckuva story to bring out just two days after the NFL's "Breast Cancer Awareness Week."
I don't see it happening...the owners won't allow it, just as baseball kept Mark Cuban from buying the Cubs.

I would assume that the Rams are the team of everyone in Missouri so the question is, would he actually want to move the team that everyone from his hometown probably roots for? I don't know how often they see him or how passionate of football fans they are down there. That would not fly in Southwestern Pa to even consider moving the Steelers. The person that thought that would be hated and reviled no matter who they were.

There's labor trouble brewing, and both sides will lose in this fight. Now that it's millionaires vs. billionaires, the average fan is going to tune them out.
There's plenty of college football to occupy the average fan today.

YES. This would be better than sending Bret Favre back to Green Bay. Get my LA Rams back where they belong. And get them winning again. Is LA going to build a brand new stadium for them?
