I don’t trust those electronic locks though. What happens if there is an EMP attack that messes up your lock? Also, what happens if the battery dies?

What happens if there is an EMP attack that messes up your lock?
At the level that those locks get fried, so will our brains, our sight, hearing ...
Remember, our bodies are electrochemical as far as (muscular) control and CNS (central Nervous System) go

I have thumb arthritis bilaterally and found a small 32 S&W works best, with laser and six pound pull. Maybe it is 8 pound pull.

Having worked on several DoD projects where ‘hardening’ was an important consideration, biological damage from EMP was not a worry. EMP works because of conductivity. Water sucks when it comes to that.
