Huffington Says Copenhagen Trip a Mistake: Obama Got 'His Clock Cleaned by the President of Brazil'
NewsBusters ^ | October 2, 2009 | Jeff Poor

It's not too often where both a prominent conservative and a prominent liberal would deviate from their ideological consensus on a particular issue.

However, the news of the day - Chicago being beaten out by Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games is one such instance. MSNBC "Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough, who identifies himself as a conservative, said he was glad President Barack Obama gave it shot in an Oct. 2 post on the Huffington Post.

Ironically, the editor of the Huffington Post, Arianna Huffington, who is identified as a progressive, said on NBC's Oct. 2 "The Jay Leno Show" that Obama shouldn't have gone to Copenhagen - but not for the reason a lot of critics are suggesting.

Wonder if she'll be likened to Jane Fonda for criticizing the president for his trip to Denmark. Kind of doubt it.

Chicago being beaten out by Rio de Janeiro

An odd choice of word, but nonetheless strangely appropriate. ;)

Wow Stephen Baldwin is estimating the cost of this fiasco at $100 million. OK, maybe that’s a bit over the top, but it’s a lot closer than the $1 million and $3 million estimates the lib media is throwing around.

I hope this gets looked into. I WANT TO KNOW HOW MUCH THIS COST US TAXPAYERS!!!

Is that Jimmy Carter or David Letterman? They’re starting to look similar anymore.

Getting tagged by Stephen Baldwin is like getting tagged by Milhouse.

Let's just say, in these economic times, apparently the numbers of what it costs for the president to go over there, something around $100 million to petition to get this Olympics," Baldwin added. "I think it a little unnecessary.

It's not like it was Hussein's money, so he doesn't care.

The 100 million is how much it cost Chicago to make their Olympic bid.

My underlying question is, other than the obvious, what type of intellect, in Garofolo terms, what type of “limbic brain” looks to HuffPo for their news, or their commentary? I mean, Arianna, fer pity’s sake, is a back-bencher with an accent and a wardrobe. One day, based upon some questionable name recognition, she decided she had some particular corner on some kind of insight. And frankly, I greatly admire that particular element of entrepreneurship. I’ll grant you, it’s easier to open up a news-aggregation website than say, a farm equipment company like Deere or Caterpillar, or perhaps a bowling equipment supply company. I’m just questioning what credentials she brings to the game. Ah well, there I go again, searching for that ever-elusive logical connectivity in liberal thinking. Shame on me. I guess the actual repetitive demonstration of a *lack* of logical connectivity may in and of itself be the certificate of authenticity libs look for in a news source.

Here's the questions I'd like answered before it all blows over in the usual manner for Zer0's program.

Olympics for Chicago 2016 - The Cost to the People of the United States:

A - The First Lady:

1. Unhidden cost of her US aircraft to and from Copenhagen?

2. Cost and detailed list of accompanying staff currently on the US payroll?

3. Cost of accompanying staffs' accommodations, food, refreshments, local travel (taxi), Official Transportation, etc. for First Lady's party?

4. Any additional aircraft for First Lady's party, for folks like family, press, dog, Secret Service?

5. Amount Opra is reimbursing the USA for her envolvement and that of her staff for #1 - #4, above?

6. Amount the Chicago Olympic Committee is reimbursing the USA for the First Lady's envolvement and that of her staff for #1 - #4, above?

B - POTUS

1. True and total unhidden cost of Air Force One for the trip to and from Copenhagen?

2. Cost and detailed list of accompanying staff currently on the US payroll?

3. Cost of accompanying staffs' accommodations, food, refreshments, local travel (taxi), Official Transportation, etc. for the POTUS's party?

4. Any additional aircraft for POTUS's party, for folks like family, press, dog, Secret Service?

5. Cost US picking for accompanying Press Corps, including travel, accomodations, food, refreshments, etc.?

6. Cost of flying the POTUS "big black car" and the accompanying Secret Service vehicles, drivers, fuel, staff accomodations, food and refreshments?

7. Amount the Chicago Olympic Committee is reimbursing the USA for the POUS's envolvement and that of his staff for #1 - #6, above?

C - Total net expense for "A" & "B" to the USA Tax Payers?

All I ask for a a true and honest (if that is not redundant!) of this "excercise" to the American Public. I'd be interested to also know who has personal vested interests in the possible favorable outcome for this adventure, specifically relating to the possible sale of real estate and other servicees should the Chicago Olympic Committee - 2016 be successful.

That's all I ask. Starting to think of the length of time a snow flake or many snow flakes can survive in Hell while I await the answer to the forgoing questions.

When will someone in the "main stream" news business address any of these questions and share the results with us.

Huf must be in error. Really can’t figure O would want a Brazilian cleaning his cock or why any Bazillion would want to for that matter. Stranger and stranger. Lust?

No it’s not....
Check in to the Micheal Reese Hospital Scandals...
The City of Chicago forced Reese Hospital to close, then bought it from the Illinois Dem-Connected Medline Industries to use for the Athlete’s Village.

Plus the costs of tearing it down, medical related hazardous waste removel, graft, etc.etc....
