ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE (AP) - President Barack Obama is "disappointed" Chicago missed getting the 20016 Olympic Games but doesn't regret putting so much on the line to argue for it, his chief spokesman said Friday.
Talking to reporters aboard Air Force One as Obama and his wife Michelle flew back to Washington, Robert Gibbs said Obama "feels obviously proud of his wife for the presentation that she made." Mrs. Obama had gone to Copenhagen ahead of her husband and had lobbied hard for the Summer Games to be brought to her hometown and his adopted hometown.

What exactly did he “put on the line” in order to go beg for the Olympics to be hosted in Chicago?
Was there any risk associated with this that was not inherent to normal presidential travel or advocacy?
Is there much more risk to “no” than we know?
I have yet to see a single word of congratulations and/or well wishes for Brazil from any of these schlocks......classless and arrogant going into it and even worse after losing....

Correction: Zero would never shy away from traveling anywhere, APOLOGIZING to anyone about this country. Further, he wasn’t watching the news programs for info but to make sure his fans in the media cast him in the appropriate golden light.
He was there for only FIVE freaking hours!!! I hope he gets terminal jet lag so this farce can end.
