Carter was — and still is — a bumbling fool but was former military himself and perhaps for that reason got a pass on much of the stupid stuff he did.
Obama is NOT former military (doubt he was even in the Boy Scouts — Young Pioneers maybe) and has dissed and ridiculed the military on a number of occasions. And he has a DEFINITE AGENDA that was harder to see with Carter.
This guy is all about destroying America which is one of the points Perry, a fellow DEMOCRAT, makes in the essay.

And with the ACORN involvement, the Judicial meddling (Minnesota, New Hampshire, etc), County/State Clerk manipulation (”finding” boxes of ballots, etc) you think our elections ARE legal?

Those in the military (or former military) I know would NOT INTIATE any kind of action against a duly elected government — not even Obama’s. They ARE, on the other hand, quietly preparing for the possibility that Obama and his friends might find a way to suspend the Constitution, and/or declare martial law, and/or circumvent the Constitution in some way that is unprecedented and beyond acceptable and established limits.
Should such a series of events occur, they will be ready to resist, and to protect themselves, their families, and the Constitution. No, it would not be pleasant. It would be ugly — very ugly. But the decision as to whether it comes to that or not is Washington’s.
What happened? Did “Fantasy #3” come true?

Noted, but entirely meaningless. Obama was duly elected by those electors chosen to cast ballots. Their vote was certified and he was administered the oath of office by the Chief Justice of the United States.
You and I might not like it, but those are the facts and even if the birthers are correct, he cannot be removed but by impeachment or expiration of term. Impeachment seems highly unlikely given the current composition of Congress. As for expiration of term of office, we’ll have to see what happens in 2012. The military is not going to help your pipe dream come true. We get the government we deserve, even when it is the dog’s breakfast that we have to live with now.
Instead of whining in my Wheaties, I am working to try and change the makeup of Congress in 2010.
We have the least corrupt military in the history of the planet and certainly since the demise of the Roman Republic. The military will not wallow in the pig swill that is the political swamp inside the beltway.
