CHICAGO — Cell phone footage showing a group of teens viciously kicking and striking a 16-year-old honors student with splintered railroad ties has ramped up pressure on Chicago officials to address chronic violence that has led to dozens of deaths of city teens each year.
The graphic video of the afternoon melee emerged on local news stations over the weekend, showing the fatal beating of Derrion Albert, a sophomore honor roll student at Christian Fenger Academy High School. His death was the latest addition to a rising toll: More than 30 students were killed last school year, and the city could exceed that number this year.
Prosecutors charged four teenagers Monday with fatally beating Albert, who was walking to a bus stop when he got caught up in the mob street fighting, authorities said.

The Chicago PD and the Mayor’s office will say this shows the need for more gun control. (Yes, I know that no guns were involved.)
Obama, like his cohorts, likely believes this problems is the fault of a society that does not give enough: money, respect, opportunity, etc. etc.. This of course requires MORE money to be given to unions and community organizers to cure this problem.
Self discipline, rules, religion and fathers in the home are meaningless to these It Takes A Village communists. That being said..it sure sorta seems like these people are more disposed to this violence than others. I keep remembering the photos of the murderous violence in Kenya after zero's cousin lost the election.

If the victim had been white this would have been page 36, and the commentary section would have been pages of “anti-racism” racism lecturing the last two people who actually read and believe that crap.
Let’s watch how this plays out. Compare this with what happened in Knoxville, TN when a pack of wild animals carjacked, kidnapped, brutally raped and then murdered two students from UT. One of those animals just got a guilty verdict. Sentencing is later. What will the eventual sentence be with these animals in Chicago. The big difference is the race of the victim(s). That will be the deciding factor as to the outcome of the trials. Sad but true.

If they would give us some solid number - no matter how high (almost)- at which point we've given them enough money to stop them from killing each other then *maybe* I'd consider giving them some on a "milestone" agreement. That is, you get some dough, you show some improvement, etc.. etc.
Of course this won't work since the money is not the issue. The poor used to starve. Now they have $100 basketball shoes and large screen TVs.
And they're still killing each other.

The fathers are probably in prison or probably belong there. The rats have bred their special interest group against which we can speak no evil because that would be RACIST. These dumbed down kids are just fodder for the left....their victims are just collateral damage incurred on the path to "social justice".
The kid was an honor student.....a sellout to the white devil slave master.

No, there have been plenty of riots by whites since the 1860’s. Haymarket Riot in Chicago in 1886 was just one of many riots by mostly white anarchists, and these continued into the 20th century. What about the Seattle WTO riots a few years back? Most of those rioters where white from what I saw.
Race riots in the earlier part of the 20th century were also not always simply a case of Blacks rioting. The 1921 Tulsa race riots are a good example of this, but there were many, many other similar situations where whites were responsible for mob violence.

I read that Derrion was truly an ‘honors’ student. Saw a copy of certificate that he was in the top 10%, shown by his grandpa on the news. Never in any kind of trouble, very active in church and the youth choir. He was just leaving school and got caught in some gang nonsense between two rivaling neighbor groups. In the first attack, it was one group, when he regained consciousness and tried to leave, thugs from the other group attacked him and beat him to death, even stomping on his head. Just so sad, heartbreaking.
That still photo is the best argument for high capacity magazines that I can remember.
I wonder if Whoopi Goldberg will opine that this isn’t “murder” murder.
Reminds me of the waterhole scene in the beginning of “2001: A Space Odessey”.
