BILLINGS - American Police Force officials showed up in Mercedes SUV's that had "Hardin Police" stenciled on the vehicles. The twist, the city of Hardin doesn't have a police department. Two Rivers Authority officials say having APF patrol the streets was never part of their agenda. "I have no idea. I really don't because that's not been a part of any of the discussions we've had with any of them," said Two Rivers Authority's Al Peterson. As it stands now the Big Horn County Sheriff's Department is contracted to patrol the city and APF has no jurisdiction. If that was changed Peterson says it would have to go through the city council. As for the jail contract with APF, both sides are yet to agree to a deal as bondholders rejected it again on Thursday morning. "It's a complicated issue there are a lot of tax laws to work through we were hoping to get it by Tuesday night now we're hoping to get it by Friday night," said Peterson. Officials say the contract only deals with the detention facility and a police training center. There's no mention of a homeless shelter, animal shelter, or any services for the area. "That was never in the contract to begin with. I think it was on a wish list of what Captain Michael wanted to do here," said Peterson. American Police Force officials plan to stay in the area for the next month.
Huh? is right...see my previous post...IF this is a Muslim front group, then this is notice to Muslim elements outside the USA that they will service their needs for weapons, vehicles and military and police gear...all done quietly and away from public scrutiny, so they don’t have to smugle weapons into the country, or supplies...How devious !...
This isn’t a National Police Force...That’s just a false front for something even more evil...The FBI should be checking out this group asap.....

Serbs are generally orthodox Christians.
The key figure is “Captain Michael,” who was found by a reporter in the Santa Ana office. He claimed he was not in charge and said he was naturalized from Montenegro. He also claimed his boss was Richard Culver, a retired Army colonel.
But, the local official negotiating the deal said he was dealing with “Captain Michael.”
I still lean toward an old-fashioned scam rather than a more nefarious scheme. They don’t look like good guys in any case.
checked out the MOAR link...the APF wants to build and run a jail ?...Haven’t we read where jails are likely recruiting grounds for Al Quaeda ?...see my previous posts...Something is definitely wrong here and a check of those other Defense agencies mentioned in the link to MOAR may shed more light on APF and these other groups...It could be a sleeper cell trying to set up a base of operations in Montana...

I wonder if this is the same guy? :

“Culver, a native Australian who spent 12 years in that country’s army.”
The meaning on Montenegro is “Black Mountain”.
Pinging because we're news junkies, and this article is too unusual to ignore. Check out information in the comments, There's another thread, also; the link can be found at #98.

Thanks. I have been watching this.

Are you backing off from your assertion from last nite? (a couple of towns over) and your opinion that it’s no big thing; been on the news there for a couple of weeks etc. If you are ‘far’ from Hardin, that’s find, no biggie but let’s find someone closer.
As far as ‘desperate’, I too am in that position but would rather starve, lose everything I have than capitulate to something that is known to be wrong. Self Righteous? no Patriot, yes.
Believe me when I say, I’ve been in ‘deperate’ times myself but, personally, there is a line. Working to bring in detainees from Gitmo would certainly fall into that category.
Bump Dat!!!...
Thanks, Lucy.
I remember reading an article about some small town with an empty jail that was actively seeking to house Gitmo prisoners, around the time that Obama came into office and spoke of closing Gitmo down. I disremember the name of the twon, or where it was, although I think it may have been in the Southwest.
But it does strike me as a possibility. It sounds as if the town government went overboard on their jail speculation, couldn’t pay the bills, and might have made some deal with the Obama administration to house a number of remaining Gitmo prisoners. According to that CBS News story you linked, a judge has already said that the state cannot bar the town from taking in out-of-state prisoners if they chose to do so. And there could be big profits for everyone concerned, considering how much Obama spent to house those three prisoners in Bermuda.
Something along those lines seems much more likely than an experimental Obama brownshirt takeover, as the early posts suggested.
If you are far from Hardin, thats find, no biggie but lets find someone closer.
A 'town away' here may be different from other's definition (Big state)!. ('someone else' depends on who reads and answers posts)
...but would rather starve, lose everything I have than capitulate to something that is known to be wrong.
Agree. However, we don't know that anything IS wrong and there are many liberals in the state. I won't comment on those that are in despair there. There are some very proud and honorable people.
Working to bring in detainees from Gitmo would certainly fall into that category.
Should that occur (there is nothing yet to indicate such), anger and recourse should be placed upon the Legislature, both State and Federal.
Recall that Pelosi expressed her acceptance for same in her state, as have others. I don't know of any such being said here in Montana on any level above that of the town of Hardin.
To date, I maintain that this is harmless and the hype is unwarranted. But, as before, I'm still watching.
Great post.
I’m guessing this is for GITMO or for use in Obama’s “volunteer” youth homeland security force training.
