Louis Farrakhan, the radical black American Muslim, arrives unexpectedly at the General Assembly session in a flashy pinstripe suit. Mr Farrakhan is the leader of the "Nation of Islam" but does not have his own country, of course. He is presumably at the UN to hear his friend Muammar Gaddafi. Mr Farrakhan was Mr Gaddafi's first guest at the Libyan mission on East 48th Street when he arrived on Tuesday evening. Like Barack Obama, Mr Farrakhan comes from black politics in Chicago. I wonder if the two will share a word?
