About time - I’ve had my tagline since the first of the year at least.

Keeping it for now - don’t trust our ‘leaders’ to stay the course once the heat is off.

The seven Senators voting not to defund (continue dumping tax-funded millions into) ACORN were: Roland Burris (D-Ill.), Robert Casey (D-Pa.), Richard Durbin (D-Ill.), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.).

Everyone of these leftist crooks should be thoroughly investigated by the FBI for how much tax $$$ they got via ACORN.

Let’s not forget this fact. There are most likely democrats who actually, despite what many believe do love this country, and do not like what is going on, and are finally realizing who they are in bed with. Like Nicodemus coming to Jesus in the night for fear of the other Pharisee this gave them the perfect chance to defund what they know was pure and utterly evil. Let’s not forget guys, if we could sit down and talk with some of these democrats there might not be such large differences. There are some good guys on the other side, especially when compared to Obama and his ilk.

Congress is TALKING about cutting funding to ACORN.

Meanwhile, the flow of money continues unchecked!

I fail to see how this is a "stunning, total defetat".

Rumors of ACORN’s death are greatly exaggerated. It ain't dead yet - this is a ploy to get people to think that ACORN is gone.

Don’t believe ‘em.
They can restore funding in the reconciliation of the House and Senate versions of the bill and probably will.

The ACORN vote in the House is stunning news. Just 48 hours after Republican Leader John Boehner introduced the "Defund ACORN Act," the bill -- which most Republicans thought Democrats would do anything to block -- passed by a resounding 345-75 vote. It would never have made it to a vote had not the Democratic leadership decided to allow it, and the winning total included 172 Democrats. Yes, 172 House Democrats voted to totally cut off funding for an organization that has worked for years on behalf of Democrats nationwide.

It was an amendment to a House bill. In the Senate, it was an amendment to an entirely different bill. The twain shall never meet and Acorn will still be funded.

Couple that with the 83-7 Senate vote to cut off housing funds to ACORN -- a number that included 50 Democrats -- and the votes signal the complete collapse of Democratic support for ACORN.
