WASHINGTON The House has voted to admonish Rep. Joe Wilson over his "You lie" outburst to President Barack Obama during the president's health care speech to Congress last week.....
Wilson himself would not back down on his position that he owed the House no apology. Surrounded by Republican supporters, Wilson said Obama had "graciously accepted my apology and the issue is over."
(Excerpt) Read more at google.com ...
How does one degrade Democrat-dominated proceedings more than they already ARE degraded? Is that even possible?
Joe doesn’t care and neither do the rest of us. The dem/libs are soooooooooo predictable.
It just never ends...
When we said “free speech”, we didn’t mean for those who disagree.
Now pay your taxes - we need new private jets. :)
Exactly. The hypocrisy infuriates me and I wish Wilson had mentioned that when he addressed the House over this “apology” they wanted....
I noticed that. He’s always been pretty standup but, apparently, not this time around.
I was kind of happy to see that Gabby Giffords “saw the light” and crossed over. We put a lot of effort in down here in Tucson to make sure that we know we “care about her”!
Remember when the Dems wanted us to just move on after Slick Willy apologized for having sexual relations with that woman ... Ms. Lewinsky? And then for lying about it?
Where’s that same forgiving attitude from the Dems today?

One of our fellow FReepers nailed it with this tagline :
“To anger a conservative, tell him a lie
To anger a liberal, tell him the truth”
While these idiots were doing this, Glenn was doing the nations’ work by exposing ACORN in San Bernadino. On the weight of the two issues, I’d say Glenn did the “protest and defend” promise better than our elected rulers.
They ACTUALLY permanently banned a list of incorrect speech in the House today. Not just for Wilson - for all Representatives, forevermore.
Just went by my house and is now on their to you.
Yes, does anyone know why Rohrabacher voted this way?
Admonish explained
1. to caution, advise, or counsel against something.
2. to reprove or scold, esp. in a mild and good-willed manner: The teacher admonished him about excessive noise.
3. to urge to a duty; remind: to admonish them about their obligations.

what republicans voted for admonishment and is that different than censure?
I'll use it in a sentence:
"I drank so much last night that I woke up admonished and missed the first three votes for socialism in Congress today!"
This email just in from Joe Wilson.

Dear Jo,
Today, instead of working on the important issues facing our nation, the House of Representatives voted on a partisan “resolution of disapproval” of me. As reported, this is the first time in its history that the House has reprimanded a member for speaking out during a presidential speech in the chamber to a joint session of Congress.
By their actions today the Democratic leadership has proven once again that they would rather play political games on the taxpayer’s dime than work to create jobs or reform health care.
I was able to make a short speech on the House Floor before the official vote. I hope you will watch this video, and make a donation to help me fight back against the liberal Democrats and continue to stand for truth.
The supporters of a government takeover of health care are using my very vocal opposition as an excuse to muzzle the American people who have been outspoken against their risky plan.
Despite this unprecedented partisan assault, I will not stop fighting. I will continue to speak the truth.
Will you please watch this video and make a donation to help me fight back against these partisan attacks?
Proud to stand with you,
Joe Wilson
U.S. Representative
Agreed.
No independent speaking out in our country.
Look at what happens
Leftist fascist demonization.
